Dishwasher Lower Dishrack Wheel Assembly - Gray
★★★★★
★★★★★
(271)
PartSelect Number PS11722152
Manufacturer Part Number W10195416V
This OEM gray Dishwasher Lower Dishrack Wheel Assembly is a plastic kit that allows the rack to slide in and out of the dishwasher easily. If it breaks or becomes damaged. sliding will feel difficult. This can happen due to normal wear and tear, and the part should be replaced if this occurs. Check your model number and user manual to make sure this part is correct. It attaches directly to the dishrack. To repair, open the dishwasher door and pull out the lower dishrack. Next, push the tab from both sides and it should pop out. To install the new wheel assembly, place it on the rack and make sure the caps overlap the wire from the inside before you clip it in place by pushing the wheel. It measures roughly 3x6 inches.

Replacement of broken Rack Assembly Mount with Wheel
The only piece that may be a little difficult to remove here without a tool is the 'Track Stop'. This piece has a couple of clip-like pieces that need to be depressed in order to remove it. A flathead screw driver will do the trick. Once this piece is out and you have popped the Mount off of the Rack, you simply roll the piece out of the track, roll the new one in and snap the new Mount in place, replacing the Track Stop when you are done. VERY EASY! Read more...

Lower Wheel Assembly

PartSelect Number PS11747717
Manufacturer Part Number WP99002780
This lower dishrack roller is less than two inches in diameter. It is made entirely of white plastic. If you find that your dishwasher is making loud noises or the lower rack is getting stuck when you are moving it in or out, it could be that the lower wheel assembly needs to be replaced. The dishrack wheels allow for easy movement of the dishrack in and out of the dishwasher. These rollers tend to wear down at the same speed, so it is recommended to replace both pairs at the same time. Open your dishwasher and remove the bottom rack, locate the locking tab, and rotate until it easily slides out of place. Slide the new wheel over the shaft and locate the locking tab to snap back into place.

Broken latch handle
The hardest thing was figuring out that you only need to purchase the latch handle because it only comes as a complete latch assembly, why they even list the latch assembly as a separate part in the parts list stupid. (you get the handle and latch already put together and it cost less than the latch assembly without the handle). Anyway all you need to do is disconect the power from the dishwasher (unless you like to live dangerously like me) take your drill with the correct size torx bit and remove all the screws on the inside door pannel (the top center two screws actually hold the latch assembly in place). Disconect the 4 wires from the old part and reconect them to the new part and reinstall all the torx screws being careful not to strip the plastic threads that they screw into if you are using a drill. Whole process takes less than 5 minutes. I am surprised that Maytag used such a flimsy handle assembly in their dishwashers since they are supposed to have the repair men with the most time on their hands. They probably sell just as many handle assemblies as they do dishwashers that have this particular part in it, probably more since you will probably have to change it 2 or 3 times during the life of the unit. Lower wheel broke off upper wheel mount and dishrack wheel broke on the opposite side
Have all the tools at your disposal. Remove top rack after removing the track stop. Remove 2 screws that hold unit in to cabinet. They are under the little caps. That is when you need the magnet for the screwdriver. Wiggle tub out of space and remove hex head screws that hold the wheel mount. Save the gasket for install. Put things back the way they came off. Changing the upper dishrack requires some twisting and gentle pressure. Even if one is broken, replace all 4. Put back the screws to the cabinet and the end caps. Read more...
