I need to replace the lower bake element in my Whirlpool electric range, but it is not obvious how to get it out. What is the recommended method for removing this?
For model number GR673LXSB1
Hello David, thank you for your question. The bake element for this unit, is PartSelect Number: PS11747168. To remove this part. Locate the element and follow the element to the back of the oven. There should be two screws that hold the element into place at the back. Once the mounting screws are removed, the element can be pulled out slightly and the wires removed. You would reinstall the element in reverse order. Remember to unplug the unit before starting any kind of repair. I hope this helps.
