Hi Janece, thank you for your question. You will have to open up your appliance to see what part is it you will need to replace, however it is likely a gear. Hello Jenice. Thank you for writing. After years of use, the mixer may be lacking the required grease to help the gears spin smoothly. This may cause it to rattle or make noise. To fix this, replace the old gear grease with fresh new grease, trying to clean as much of the old grease out as possible to prevent oil from dripping. The Grease is PartSelect Number PS12583821. We hope this helps.

removed metal strap around motor housing then remove the 4 screws holding top motor cover on, then removed the 4 screws that hold gear cover in place, remove long gear that is driven by the motor gear, then with ring pliers remove ring off long drive shaft and lift off worm gears. once all gears are removed --removed all the old grease (
