The shelf retainer bar end cap is used to keep the retainer bar in place, and can be used on either the right or left hand side of the bar. This white, OEM end cap is approximately 2 inches long, and made entirely of plastic. The shelf bar and cap snap into place on the door to attach the door shelf bar to the inner door liner. This part is also known as a rail end cap. If the door bar is not properly attached to the inner door liner, your items will not be secure on the shelf, and are likely to fall.

Dishwasher panel had scratches. The shelf caps had broken

The first panel sent was bent. I called and they sent another one out within 3 days. To replace the panel, first I removed 3 screws on the side of the door and removed the chrome side piece. Then I slid out the old panel and slid in the new one. Replaced the chrome side and attached the screws.
For the shelf caps, I pushed them into the end of the shelf trim and them pushed the ends into the slot on the door. Easy as pie. Read more...

This part is the replacement shelf support for your refrigerator/freezer. It is made of white plastic and is approximately 1 inch by 1 inch. The shelf support attaches to the side of your refrigerator wall and supports the shelf. If your shelf is sagging or will not stay in place, you may need to replace the support. To replace the support, use a wrench to turn the support clockwise until you can use a flat blade screwdriver to pop it out. Push the new support into the hole left by the old one until it is flush with the liner, then use the wrench to turn it clockwise until it locks in. This part is sold individually and is and OEM part.

plastic clip broke off

tab broke due to someone put too many items on the shelp pushing the retention wall out. Pulled the end piece off the tray, put the new one on, the clipped the end piece back into the door. Easy fix, have full use of the shelf again with out spending a lot more for someone else to fix it or even more on a new fridge. Second time I have used this service with the same results. My local Maytag dealer could not locate this part

My Maytag refrigerator is 17 years old, and the shelf on the door needed a part. I went to 2 different Maytag dealers, but they told me the part is not available for appliances this old. I found the part I needed here, and it was pretty easy to install, once I figured out how to remove the broken part. The trick was to punch out the center of the old part with a small screwdriver, and then put it back on the new part, to hold it in place. I can now use my shelf again! Read more...
