Toro Lawn Tractor Ring-Retaining
PartSelect Number PS8950132
Manufacturer Part Number 32151-61
This metal retaining ring, otherwise known as a snap ring, holds parts in place in your lawn equipment, such as blades, shafts, pulleys, or other rotating components, to prevent them from sliding off or shifting. A broken ring may be warped, cracked, or have missing sections. You can tell if it is damaged when the components in your machine are wobbly or falling off. To remove a retaining ring, you will need a pair of needle-nose pliers or lock/snap ring pliers that fit into the grooves of the ring. By using the pliers to release the tension on the ring, you can carefully slide it off the machine. Consult your user manual for instructions on the removal process and to confirm how many rings your machine will need. This replacement part is sold individually and is produced by the original equipment manufacturer so that it precisely fits your machine.

You may also notice the presence of black soot around the gasket or the exhaust. Your gasket needs to be replaced if it appears worn or deformed. Otherwise, your machine will experience exhaust leaks. To detach the gasket, remove the fasteners that secure it using a socket or wrench. You can detach the gasket from your machine afterwards.
