This OEM replacement part is used to link the bail, wheel, and tine control, in order to activate or deactivate the tines. This cable is black, gold, and silver, and made of metal with a plastic cover. One end of this cable attaches to the catch bail and the other to the tine spring. When the cable is faulty, you will have no control of the tines and drive. This part should be replaced when you notice signs of stretching, fraying, or other damage.
