Could not believe when the original glass cooking tray exploded while cooking in the microwave!!

Whirlpool paid to have a tech come out, they said the microwave was fine, must have been a defect in the glass tray because they should NEVER do that. Well, Whirlpool would not pay to replace the defect.
This was the best site out there for finding what I needed. Also had the best price, and believe me I looked!! Almost paid for express shipping, but am glad I didn't - with regular shipping I got what I ordered in TWO days!! And I live in the boonies!! ha ha

Have told all my friends and family about this repair site already. Highly recommended.

Main heating coil fractured, caught on fire and seperated into two pieces

The repair was quite easy once, I knew what was behind the heating coil back plate.

•Slide the range out from the wall
•Remove the two sheet metal screws with a nut driver on the coil back plate and lightly pull on the heating-coil until the leads are visible through the insulation
•Hold onto the leads and pull on the coil until separation
•Remove the coil
•Remove (4) metal screws with the nut driver on the long rectangular cover plate on the back of the oven
•With assistance in the back of the oven, have them push on the leads separately so that you can grab and attach each lead to the coil. Otherwise, you will keep fitting to hold onto the leads and they will keep extracting back into the insulation.
•Install the new coil
•Once the leads are attached, replace the metals sheet screws with a nut driver on the coil back plate
•Replace the (4) sheet metal screws on the rectangular cover plate on the back of the oven
•Slide unit back into place making sure that the rear foot slides into the tip-over bracket
•Finished
