First I took both bolts off of the housing (holds filter) and removed two hoses by holding elbow vavle in while pulling hoses. Did the reverse to replace. The trick was knowing how to remove the elbow valves. Second there was still water leaking under the fridge, discovered it was the water inlet valve underneath. Ordered that part.

I removed the filter casing containing the casing, removed the filter and replaced it with the new filter and screwed the casing in place tightening with the wrench.. It took less than 5 minutes and was the easiest replacement Ive ever done.

It was really easy. All you have to do is twist the old filter out, stick in the new one and twist!

Removed, the drip pan
Removed the screws holding the ice/water dispenser in place.
Pulled up on the ice/water dispenser to remove it from the door.
Removed the screws for the broken actuator (noting the location of the spring) and removed the actuator.
Reinstalled the new actuator making sure the spring is in the proper location.
Replaced all screws in reverse order.

I didn't know where to go to get the filter, so I went to Parts Select.com, they had the filter in stock. I placed the order and when I received the part (in about 4 days) I was able to get it put in & working in about 15 minutes. The water from the dispensor & the ice cubes taste a lot better. Now that I know where to get parts I won't wait that long to change out the water filter.
