Ice door gasket warped would not seal
Pop off the control board for the ice selector/water. Remove power / signal connections. remove four phillips screws, Remove plastic hopper. Pop off Ice door gasket, pop in new one and put back together. If you fridge was sounding like it was speeding up and slowing down, this will correct this problem as well.

Water flow from in-door dispenser was a trickle
We didn't think the dispenser problem was related to the filter - we were wrong! It took less than two minutes, including opening the box and unwrapping the filter. I'll definitely be changing my filter more often - and buying it through PartSelect. Your ordering was so easy and delivery was unbelievably fast!

Ge refrigerator water dispenser didn't work
I am very handy and figured it out by myself. I installed the water valve - bracket assembly and control board within an hour and the dispenser works fine. I recommend that you all make installation links on line more user friendly. Thanks. J M Joly, MD

Water dispensed at a trickle
I only had to remove the old filter and install the new one - all by hand. I then ran about 1 to 1and1/2 gallons of water through the filter to clear it. A WORD OF CAUTION - HOLD YOUR GLASS CLOSE TO THE WATER DISPENSER FOR THE INITIAL FILLING - IT WILL SPIT UNTIL THE AIR IS PURGED FROM THE SYSTEM!!! An extremely easy repair.

Ice dispenser was always crushing ice, and slow water dispensing
Replacing the water filter with the new style water filter was no problem...twist to the left, drop the old filter, line up arrows on housing and new filter, twist to the right and done.
Ice maker was always crusing ice. There is a spring deflector wound around the actuating rod towards the back of the ice dispenser. Pulled the ice dispenser out, slid the damaged spring off, and slid the new spring deflector on making sure to engage the actuator rod to restore it's action. Easy fix.
