Broken door latch
Removed the broken part and disconnected the four wires. Installed new part (two hex head fasteners) attached wires - good to go! Quick delivery on the part allowed for dishwasher to be down for only a few days after the part was ordered.

Door latch broke
First I removed the control panel and then removed the screw holding the handle. I then pulled the connector wires off and onto the new handle. I then screwed the new panel into place. Easy job, no mess.

Door latch was broken
First i removed the screws on the back panel, unscrewed the latch, removed the wires and installed the new latch. I found the latch is too expensive for a little plastic part.

Door latch broken on one side
Removed the screws that hold the panel on ( just the top ones-no need to go all the way down the sides. Need a "star" headed screwdriver to remove the switch itself. Then removed the wires (4),one be one, so as not to mix them up. reinstalled all thescres for the switch, then the panel. Job done. What amazes me is that Frigidaire doesn't read your page to realize that the handle assembly was defective and send out a recall. look at all the repars listed in your site , and these re just from the people that have responded with comments and who use your service. New handle/switch is much more sturdy with a higher density plastic that the original. Your service is easy to use, prompt and accurate. Fixed the dishwasher while my wife went to the store. Dishwasher done in 15 minutes and watched theNCCA tournament for 2hours in complete peace !!!!! No need to tell the wife only spent 15 minutes.

Door latch assembly broke
I opened the control knob panel. The latch assembly is located behind inside the panel along w/ the wires. This is my second replacement of the assembly. The last one lasted about 2 years. They should make a sturdier latch assembly next time.

The latch was not broken
The repair was pretty straightforward. If somebody is attempting, they should make sure that screws close the bottom part of the door should be opened. You only need to open the top 4 screws.

Latch broke off on door
I read other descriptions on how to repair this item at this site. All were spot on. Simply unscrew the control panel (6 screws on inside of unit), then unscrew the two screws holding the latch in place (it's a one piece unit), then remove the (4) leads to the latch paying attention to where each of the colored wires goes...re-attach all screws and you are done. It worked like a breeze after I was done. I did forget to turn off the power to the dishwasher as I thought i did but due to the broken latch the unit wouldn't function so I misjudged it. Next time (hopefully there isn't one) I will make sure power is off. I didn't use the gasket but have it in case something leaks down the road. Took less than 10 minutes and my 11 year old son helped too!

Broken handle
Didn't have a Torx screwdriver, but an Allen Wrench worked just fine. Also had to replace the gasket. Was worried about the fit of the door when closed with the new latch as the handle was very limp compared with the original. Also suspected that the new latch would cause the door to seat differently on the old gasket. Eventually found out from a repairman that the replacement handle does feel limp when the door is shut, and that they include the new gasket in case the old one is worn or that the new latch causes the door to seat differently on the old gasket.

Latch handle was broken, so door wouldn't open properly.
Don't feel like giving lots of detail. If one can't figure this one out on your own, then you need to call a professional repairman to do it for you. At this point you will need to seriously reconsider your own manhood. This job only requires taking out several screws to remove the control panel and the screws and connected wires to remove the latch itself. Installation is the reverse. VERY easy.
