Latch broken
I did the job exactly as described in the video found at PartSelect's website. My applicance is hard wired which required tripping the circuit breaker that protects it. I found that my house circuit breaker panel was mismarked and the unit remained powered after I tripped the CB. ALWAYS test for power at any electrical connection with a test light or meter before touching an open wire or component.

Door latch plastic parts broke
I removed the screws holding the top control panel cover, removed the star screws holding the latch assembly on, tagged the 2 white wires and 2 black wires and unplugged all 4 wires. I installed and fastened the new latch assembly on, plugged the 4 wires in, and replaced the cover. Tested and it worked great.

Latch handle broke
followed suggestions from others who posted here. I am a first-timer - thanks so much! 1) cut power to dishwasher at breaker box. 2) removed upper front panel by unscrewing 6 phillips head screws holding it on. 3) removed broken latch assembly by unscrewing the two star-screws. 4) pulled off the 4 wires after noting how they were attached. 5) put wires onto new latch assembly. 6) installed the new assembly with the 2 star-screws. 7) put panel back on. 8) turned power back on. 9) checked function and everything works great. If only all household repairs were this easy. Thanks for the service and for the repair stories, they gave me the confidence to try it myself and it turned out GREAT!

Broken latch - could not open dishwasher
First I removed the front panel of the dishwasher by simply unscrewing about 10 screws. I then removed the control panel cover - super easy - a matter of unscrewing some screws. Disconnected 4 wires and removed the old, broken latch. The installation of the new latch was just as easy.
Simple and fast repair!

Latch handle broke off.
Well, once again my wife found another way to destroy a household appliance. I get a crossed and angry "the dishwasher broke!" Of course, it was my fault!
So, she wanted to get a brand new dishwasher because the handle broke. Instead, I went on Partselect.com, bought the part and it was shipped in a few days.
I took the facing off the dishwasher with a screw driver. Used a torque bit to take out the latch assembly, and replaced the latch. I kept the seal in because I dont see any leaking, but I stowed the new seal away as a "Just in case". About an hour later, works perfect without a problem.
So, instead of spending 300 on a new dishwasher, I spend 46 and have some extra money for the holidays!

Door latch was broken
The part looked right, model numbers and location on the drawing matched up...but when it came it the electrical connections were not identical.
So I worked for 30-45 minutes to see if I could swap out the broken section on the old latch for the new part. Not a perfect fit...
So I cut the connections and rewired them...and nothing happened when I turned on the dishwasher.
After some trial and error I was able to get the dishwasher to run...but now it won't shut off when the door opens. Still trying to figure that out.
