Replacing ice bucket auger
Removal of the auger is relatively simple but you must be aware that the plastic nut that holds the ice crusher arms on has LEFT handed threads - meaning you have to twist clockwise to remove it. This was frustrating to me to figure out. Hope this helps you avoid my frustration.
Getting the spring for the trap door was also a bit frustrating but I got it after a while.
Good luck with your project.

The auger had pieces that had broken off
First I removed the Ice Maker then removed the two screws that hold the cover in place and pushed the two pins in that release the cover. I then had to remove the nut that holds the blades on. Then took the blades off and put them back on the new one as they were and assembled the rest.

Blades on auger busted off
Removed auger from box unit, switched blades onto new unit , would have been a hell of lot easier if they would have told me they were left hand threads. (reverse threads).

Ice maker auger broken
Removed Ice maker storage drawer. Removed the front of the assembly to access the hardware securing the ice auger. Had a little difficulty removing the snap ring. Took a while to discover the nut has left hand threads. Removed snap ring nut and washer. Romoved old broken auger and replaced with the new one. Reassembled the hardware, and the drawer assembly.

The auger that turns and make the ice come out in the freezer was broken and needed to be replaced.
I am a 76 years old lady, and following the instructions in the video provided at the webside it was really easy. My only problem was that at first I could not find the new part. I had misplaced it inside my house. But I don't think it has anything to do with the difficulty of the installation. It probably has more to do with my age. Ha! Ha! I am very happy I could do it myself and did not have to call any of my two sons for help. Thanks PartSelect for making it easy for me.

Plastic on the ice bucket auger broke.
I watched the short video on the parts page. The video was an exact step by step explanation. I watched the video twice, got the tools and it was completed in about a half hour. Could not ask for more.

The fins on the original auger had broken off
Removed the ice bin, and removed 2 screws on the screw holding the sheild. Then removed the 2 top screws, and the bottom screw. Took rubber hammer and bumped the auger assembly loose from the bin. Removed broken auger and replace with replacement auger ordered from Part Select. Did the reverse to re-assemble. Easy and now ice maker dispenses ice as it did originally.
