Ice bucket auger broken plastic. Ice would not feed as it was turning.

Blade broke off of auger and would not dispense ice.

Took the parts brake down off the web site and disassembled the ice maker, making sure to keep all the parts in order of the way they came off the unit. Reassembled the unit slowly to make sure all went back in the proper order. Could not have been easier. The ice maker is working like it did from the factory. I think i saved around Two hundred dollars by doing the job myself.

Damaged ice bucket auger

The on-line video helped the most. Most of the time was spent removing the ice crusher housing from the ice bucket. I suggest using a putty knife over a screw driver to minimize damage to plastic parts.

The plastic auger broke, leaving shards in the resulting drink

The hardest part was identifying the product, and where to get it. Once ordered, I followed these steps

- Reviewed the parts diagram
- Removed the ice tray
- Undid the 3 screws holding it together (one on top, two on bottom)
- Pulled apart the unit.
- Used a screw driver to remove the C style clamp holding the auger in
- Used a pair of pliers to remove the "ice crusher" from the auger (Note!! this is a reverse thread)
- Reversed the procedure to install the new one

Ice took a long time to dispense due to piece broken off of plastic auger.

removed screws, pulled auger out keeping ice crushing blades intact, removed broken auger, installed new auger and re-assembeled. if you are mechanically inclined the process is fairly simple.
