The plastic wheels on the auger broke
The old auger was very difficult to take apart. When we finally got it loose all the gears in the back popped off and had to be put back one at a time. Next time I have a problem with the ice maker I will probably order the whole tray.

Broken ice bucket auger, cracked crusher cover, chipped auger nut
I watched the "how-to" video on the website and decided that I needed to disassemble the icemaker first (before ordering parts) so that I could make sure I was ordering all the parts necessary for a complete repair. Good thing I did. I didn't notice the cracked cover and chipped nut until I had the icemaker all apart. I then ordered the necessary parts. When they arrived 2 days later, I set up a table near my computer so I could re-assemble the unit as I watched the repair video...pausing the video as necessary. It all went without a hitch and worked perfectly when re-installed in the freezer. **Note: I left the old parts out of the ice bucket while I was waiting for the new ones to arrive...taped up the gaping holes in the ice bucket with blue painter's masking tape and re-installed the bucket in the freezer with the icemaker on...so I could still manually retrieve ice out of the bucket. I left the switch on the front of the freezer door in the "water" position to remind me that I couldn't dispense ice. Water dispensing worked fine. The video is the key. Impossible to make a mistake if you pay attention.

Watched video on internet how to repair, simply removed cover, took blades of auger, replaced everything in reverse order,if anyone else is going to replace an auger, go to the internet and watch video, really helpful. This replacement took about 20 mins.

The auger was broken and needed to replace
My husband and I did the repair watching the instructions video. It really helped otherwise we wouldn't know how to do it. The part we had more difficult with was removing the box 'pushing' the tabs because it was really tight and also removing the 'C' shaped bolt because it was also very tight. Other than that it was straightforward if you watch the video. The part now works properly.

Replaced a broken ice bucket auger
After a large piece of the clear plastic ice auger was found in my glass.....we knew it needed replacing. It was simple!! I ordered it, watched the video provided on the Part Select website, went and got my tools and badda bing, badda boom. No problem! Do it yourself

JUST SET THE PARTS OUT IN ORDER AS YOU TAKE THEM APART. REMEMBER THE THE NUT IS LEFT HANDED. THE KITCHEN KNIFES WERE USED TO PRY THE AUGER FROM THE BASKET (thin) TAKE A GOOD LOOK BEFORE YOU START.

Damaged ice bucket auger
The on-line video helped the most. Most of the time was spent removing the ice crusher housing from the ice bucket. I suggest using a putty knife over a screw driver to minimize damage to plastic parts.
