Ice building up in the ice dispenser chute
UNDER THE CONTROL PANEL THERE ARE THREE SMALL HOLES. INSERT BALLPEN OR SMALL FLAT SCREW DRIVER ON BOTH OUTER HOLES TO PUSH A TAB LOCK THAT HOLDS THE CONTROL PANEL IN PLACE. THEN PULL OUT CONTROL PANEL AND THREE SET OF WIRES WILL BE EXPOSED AND DISCONNECT WIRE CONNECTORS (CONNECTORS HAVE DIFFERENT SIZES SO YOU WONT GET CONFUSED IN RECONNECTING). UNSCREW FOUR SCREWS ON EACH CORNER THAT HOLDS THE ICE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY (A PART WHERE YOU PUSH YOUR GLASS AGAINST TO DISPENSE ICE OR WATER. THE FLAPPER IS EXPOSED AND EASY TO REPLACE.

Ice chute from the ice maker frosted over. Cubes would not dispense
1. Unplug the fridge 2. Removed the outer facing of the dispenser outside the freezer door. This is fairly easy, better with a tool (plastic scraper) that won't mar the finish. 3. Removed the plastic plate with labels -- water, ice, etc. This is done by sliding a small jewelers screwdriver into the slots on the left, middle and right in back of the plate. These are difficult to see without a flashlight. 4. Removed the four screws in the panel behind this plate. 5. Unpluged the large cable on the left side after the panel is freed. 5. Removed the rubber "dispenser" button. this just pulls off. 6. Remove the panel 7. Lift flapper up and remove. Clips hold this in. 8. Put new flapper in place. 9. Use reverse order to put back together. Piece of cake. Ice maker no longer frosts up.!!!!

Ice chute frosted up
Procedure for Replacing the Ice Chute Plate 1. Turn off the power. 2. Snap off the outside trim ring. Use a plastic screwdriver to avoid scratching the cabinet. 3. Locate the three small holes below the control panel facing, just above ice chute. The center hole is not used. With a small, blunt, object (wire – blunted nail) that is slightly smaller than the holes, push up rather firmly up through the outer holes to release front control panel. 4. Remove the three wire connectors from printed circuit board. Firmly pull/pry them straight out of retaining clip. Use caution: Excessive force will break clips. 5. Release the secondary panel by removing four screws (one in each corner). 6. Remove the flap assembly. 7. Clean all accessible areas with 1/10 bleach water to sanitize. Rinse the cleaned area with clear water and thoroughly dry everything before re-assembling the panel. 8. Install the new flap assembly. 9. Re-installed everything in the reverse order and check the functionality. 10. Order a spare ice chute flapper to be ready for the next event.

Flapper is stuck open
There are three holes under the front panel in which you push a very small screwdriver in and the front panel comes off.In back of the panel is another panel with 4 screws .1 at each corner.Remove the 4 screws and that will come off exposing the working parts that need to be replaced. This is also a good time to clean anything you can get to in that area.It is very important to remember how everything came out.
