The drum bearing and slides worn out
The dryer literally ate my clothes!! We took the front cover off the dryer, removed the old parts and snapped in the bearing, felt seal and slides and now it just dries....it doesn't eat anything.

Screaching
I have always been mechanically inclined so when my dryer started making noise I turned it into a family project. I found your website and studied what could be the problem. My 13 year old son and I took the dryer apart and found that it was the front drum bearing. i ordered the parts and my son did most of the work. Only had to take out two screws holding the top on and two holding the front. Vacumed out lint and followed directions on your site to replace parts. up and running in about 30 minutes.

Very loud noise.
Took the front & top off the dryer. Saw that the slides were missing or broken. Got the parts and put it back together. Works great.

Had difficulty finding the correct size in any store.
All the stores had either a smaller watt or a larger watt and the book suggested always using the correct watt. I was glad to find it on this sight and it was delivered very quickly.

Sqealing sound during operation
Disassembled and removed drum according to directions on this site. Ordered parts and replaced per instructions - - easy as unscrewing and rescrewing old bearing assembly. Hardest thing was putting the belt on - as I did it fromthe front side and the recommendations are to access from the back kick plate. I did not want to wreck the vent tube so I left the dryer in place and did the entire job from the front.

Dryer was shaking and vibrating all over the floor
Took top and front panel off. Pulled top bearing shroud off, replaced and installed the slides on new top bearing. Installed felt gasket on the bottom piece of lower shroud. Installed new lamp and put back together to check out. Dryer working great now. Should have changed the belt but it is not squelling so it is fine.
