Side Trim Gasket Specifications

This part is the replacement side trim gasket for your dishwasher. It is black in color and is approximately 24 inches long and 1 inch wide. The gasket runs along the side of your dishwasher, between the dishwasher and the cabinet. It is used for aesthetic purposes, and also as a sound curtain. The main reason you would want to replace the door seal is if it is torn or missing. You will need a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet for this repair. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part from the manufacturer.

Hi Anthony, Thank you for the question. The bottom door gasket is only sold as part of the Inner Door Panel, PartSelect Number PS959500. In order to replace the bottom door gasket the panel will need to be ordered and replaced. Hope this helps!

Our GE dishwasher suddenly started leaking a couple weeks ago, creating a puddle the diameter of a soccer ball within 20 minutes of starting the cycle. We just replaced the gasket and that reduced the leaking to a few drops of water in the 1st 20 minutes of the cycle. We are wondering if we should also order and replace the door trim to eliminate all leaking. The current door trim is not one continuous piece of trim it has either cuts or tears near both ends that could be causing the leakage. We aren't sure if the trim is supposed to have those cuts near the ends. The diagram on your website doesn't show any cuts in the trim, that we see, so we're guessing the cuts in our trim are actually torn and causing leakage. Is the trim, once installed, supposed to be one continuous piece without any cuts/tears?

Hi Leslie, Thank you for your inquiry. You are correct, there are not supposed to be any cuts on the trim other than at the corner areas to help with bending around the machine. If you have more than that, then you will probably have to replace the part. You might also want to check the connects between your pump connector and your sump. These two parts can sometimes cause leaking in your specific appliance. You could also check the water inlet valve just in case as well. That part is located on the bottom left hand corner of your appliance. Good luck with your repair!
