My washer doesn't drain. It runs some of the wash cycle and then stops when it gets to the drain portion. I've replaced the agitator belt. There is a burning smell coming from the washer. Does it sound like a bad drain pump? I've already checked and there is no blockage of any kind in the hoses or where the washer drains into the pump.
For model number Kenmore washer 44722401
Hi Chad, thank you for your question. If there is a burning smell coming from the machine, then it might actually be your drain pump that is the issue. Sometimes the door lock can be the problem as your appliance has to go into a spin cycle to do the drain cycle. However because you are getting a burning smell it might be your pump. Good luck with your repair.
