pull out the grille element and replace with cooking element
Simple. We just unplugged the old white induction unit (still works after 18 yrs) and plugged in the new black radiant cartridge. Great customer assistance.
I removed the grill top and unpluged the element. then i pluged in the radiant element cartridge and i was done. It took me longer to unbox the cartridge than to install it.
I removed the stove top cartridge from the stove top and plugged in the new one. No tools were needed. It was very easy.

I pulled out the old cartridge cleaned the stoptop up. Plugged in the the new cartridge ..there was a little steam left over fromt he cleaning when I turned up the heat but it went away. Looks great and save me $3k the difference in the price of a new stove top.

To repair, I just pulled out the one unit and replaced with the new. Took longer to get the unit out of the box. We are greatly pleased. Ordered on Thursday and had the unit by Saturday. Saved over $100.00, WILL shop PartSelect again.
Opened packaged slid new element into place and turned on. End of that job. Cooked dinner.
It was jus a matter of unwrapping the cartidge, unplug and remove old and plug in. What a difference, should have done this years ago. I will use this company again.
Once I cleaned the stove all I had to do was plug the two units in. The PartSelect person e-mailed and asked me what kind of prongs were on the old unit and figured out what part I needed to replace it.I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. Plus the price was reasonable.I would use this service again and really appreciated the help.
