Water wouldn't drain

Washing machine stopped draining, was looking into buying a new one. Thought maybe it was the pump, looked on-line and found one for around $50.00. Recieved the pump in pretty good time (3 days) The repair was not too bad, although the "ring clamp" was not very easy to work with. Hard to work it around the hoses in such a tight spot.

Pump was noisy, then failed and hummed.

The pump arrived and because I'd read some of the other stories here I wasn't too upset that it looked different.

I used pliers to squeeze the hose clamps and remove them from the old pump. The hex screws holding the old pump in were sort of rusty due to water, and were the majority of the miminal problem I had getting the old pump out. I put the new one in easily, fussed with the hoses a bit to make sure the clamps were in the right spot, plugged in the two leads, and ran a load.

The new pump was so quiet that I wasn't sure it was even working. Of course it was, and for $50 I gave myself a washing machine that works again. Thanks, guys.

Tub would not drain.

Unplugged the washer.
Drained the tub by removing the rear drainage hose.
Reattached the drainage hose.
Removed the front panel of the washer using a putty knife to get at the two release points under the top lid.
Removed the two electrical clips on the pump.
Removed the two clips that held the drainage hoses on either side of the pump using a set of channel lock pliers.
Slid off the drainage hoses.
Removed the two mounting screws that held the pump in place.
Attached the two drainage hoses using the two clips. This took a while to get a good seal.
Screwed the two mounting screws back in to hold the pump in place.
Plugged the electrical connections back in.
Plugged the washer back in.
Tested everything.
Put front panel of the washer back on.
Also replaced the Timer Knob assembly.
The whole thing took about an hour including running the test.

Motor/pump was clogged with foreign material. Belt was just replaced because that's how I do things....

First the front cover of the washer just peeled off and everything was right there. Slid the clamps back, took the screws and while pump was out, I replaced existing belt with new one. After new belt was in place with proper tension, I fitted the new pump assembly in place. Piece of Cake !!

Washer wouldn't drain

My washer was full of water after it wouldn't drain as part of the wash cycle. I used a Wet/Dry vacuum to remove the water from the tub. Followed the video provided on this part page. When I pulled the hose from the wash tub to the pump at least a gallon of water that I was in the bottom of the tub and hose rushed into the base of the washer. It was an unexpected mess to clean up a the end of the job. Pump was fairly easy to remove from the washer, but reinstalling the hoses to the pump was slightly more challenging. The hose from the tub to the pump is about an inch too short to make this an easy fit. I had to have my wife hold the hose clamp open with the channel locks while I positioned pump onto the hose. After the hose was installed, the second hose was much easier to install. With the new pump the washer running like a champ!

Unit leaks

I pulled the front panel off as described in the video on Partselect.coms video (very helpfull) and unpluged the pump, I was able to test the original pump and determine it to be good and ultimatly that was not the problem. However had it been it would have been a simple fix. returning the unused part was super simple and painfree!

Water would not drain out of washer on spin cycle

It was as simple as removing the front cover of the washer. After unpluging, using pliers, remove the two hoses on the pump and disconect the two power plug ins. Two bolts that mounted the pump to the frame of the washer were removed and the pump comes out. Re-install the same way with the new pump from partselect and it worked great.

Pump malfunction

One of the fastest repairs that I have performed. Took less than 15 minutes. Unhook wires, removed haoding screws, unclamped hoses. Reversed the process to install the new unit. Shipping was incredible. Ordered the part at 1400 on Thursday and had the part in hand Friday at 0900. One of the best on-line experiences that I have ever had. Thanks a bundle, Richard

Machine would not drain

I looked up what others said about the same problem. Took their advice, ordered the pump and it was installed in less than 30 minutes. This is the third time that we have ordered parts and have had excellent service. We usually get the parts the next day or at most two days. Instructions to repair are exactly like the customers say on the website. I tell all my friends and relatives about your site. Thanks PartSelect!
