This is a two-way water inlet valve that is designed for use within Samsung refrigerators. Water inlet valves are solenoid-controlled valves that control the flow of water into an appliance such as a refrigerator, and this valve is used to supply water to the ice maker and water dispenser. If your water inlet valve is bad or broken, you will likely notice an excessive amount of ice or water in your refrigerator, or a complete lack of it entirely. Replacing this inlet valve will require a screwdriver to access and remove the old one and be sure to turn off the water and power to your refrigerator before starting the repair. Ice maker unit was changed out. Problem appears to be no water to ice maker! Is any reset procedure reguired after ice maker change out? Water valve problem? Etc

Hi Ronald, there is no reset procedure I know of that would be required. Could be a water supply/line or valve problem. Check the water line is not clogged or frozen. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

How do I replace this part? Da62-04027a don't know how to get to it

Hello Larry, Thank you for the question. Remove the rear access panel on the back of the appliance. You will find the valve on the right side. You will need to turn off the water supply to the appliance and remove the water lines from the valve. Next you can disconnect the wiring harness and take pictures to refer back to when reconnecting. You will then unscrew the valve at the bracket and reverse the steps to reinstall. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Water will not dispense all the time from door. Makes a humming sound when you try to dispense. Ice maker works fine. Intermittent problem.

Ice maker keeps making ice even when I press button to shut it off. Is it the water inlet valve/solenoid.

Hello John, thank you for asking. Our team found that nn some cases the water valve needs to be replaced for the solenoid that opens and supplies to the ice maker gets worn out. Most commonly though the icemaker itself is no longer requesting water and needs to be replaced. Because these symptoms can be equal between the icemaker PS12115595 and the water valve it’s best to replace them both at the same time. We hope this helps.
The water dispenser works fine, but I the ice maker is very slow recently. Could it be the valve or a different issue?

Water is leaking with and without filter being installed. Looks like it is coming from the housing. Should water be reaching the ice maker and water dispenser even without a filter? Thank you!
