Ice maker stopped working
I spent quite a bit of time diagnosing the problem. When the ice maker first stopped working, I noticed the fingers that push out ice where pointing straight down and frozen within the cubes. I pulled out the ice maker and let it thaw so I could move the fingers again. The gear that turns the assembly was not in the correct position after several tries, I finally realized that the heater element wasn't working, so when the fingers started to push out the cubes, they would stick and the gear became stripped.
In the end, I replaced the whole unit which wasn't cheap, but was making cubes within an hour of installing the new unit.

Ice maker quit working
Easy repair overall. Removed three screws and icemaker casing, removed old icemaker and replaced with the new. Bracket was a little tough to get back in place.

Ice maker wouldn't work.
First I removed the ice tray door by lifting and then releasing the hinge. Then I used a nutdriver and socket to remove three recessed screws that are located under the icemaker. I also removed the screw on the underside which holds a plastic flange in place covering the wiring harness. Remove the plastic flange and slide the icemaker out as far as possible, then disconnect the wiring harness from the icemaker. Slide the old unit out and discard. Reverse the procedure to install the new unit. Points of frustration: Disconnecting the wiring harness--it is in there mighty tight! Also, when sliding the new unit into place, clearing the rubber water spout without breaking something is somewahat of a challenge. The unit comes out easier than it goes back in!

Ice maker would not produce ice
I disassembled original ice maker to find a short between the motor housing and the tray heater. Easiest to replace full assembly. Ordered new part, and after it arrived...
Removed front ice maker door and rear power wire cover. Slide out ice maker and removed the reusable parts and installed on new assembly. Installed new ice maker in reverse. Ice maker immediately filled with water but never went into harvest mode. I figured the optics board was bad, but it wasn't. I removed the transmitter and receiver, and let them warm to room temperature and reinstalled after cleaning optics with cotton swab. The ice maker started working like a charm.

Ice maker would not work at all-someone used inappropriately.
we ordered the complete ice maker assembly, since we were unsure as to which part was broken. It was extremely easy to replace and our ice maker is perfect!!! The price was very reasonable. This is a great company!!

No ice
Removed defective icemaker. Used nutdriver to remove screws. Pull ou old unit. Disassemble old unit to use required parts to attach to the new unit. Slide in new unit but encountered problem with the fill funnel height. This was different than the original unit. I had to bend up the rubber fill spout in order to slide in the icemaker. This took several attempts because there is not much clearance. Installed screw and icemaker was back in action.

Unsrewed 6 screws, pulled out old icemaker, unplugged the connecting wiring and pluged in new icemaker and slid it back into the mountings. Re installed the 6 screws and closed the door, within 3 hours we had ice again. Very easy!

No ice or cycling of icemaker
This model uses light sensors to control the icemaker. After determining that the light and sensors operate correctly, the problem is either the icemaker module or the valve. After 6 years there was visible corrosion on the blades, so I selected the entire assembly for about $40 more. The new unt fit perfectly. Wait a while 2-4 hours to see if it works, it is not right away.

Ice maker stopped working
The replacement was an almost exact match, except for the plastic sidewall that needed a hole in it for the water supply shoot. Just removed a couple screws, and reattached the old one. A wire harness and three screws later, and we were making ice.

Stopped making ice
Turn power off to Ice Maker. First I had to remove the Ice Maker Door by removing the two 1/4" screws. I then removed the 1/4" screw under the Ice Maker on the right hand side that holds the wire cover in place. The cover can be removed by pulling toward the rear at a angle. Now you can slide the Ice Maker forward until it out and only connected by the wire harness which can now be unplugged The bottom plate on the old Ice Maker will need to be removed and installed on the new one. Now just work in reverse.
