Ice maker not producing ice
First tested the water control valve on back to make sure water was getting to the ice maker. Then, replaced ice maker. Old Ice maker was easy to remove and new one was just as easy to install. Simply slide out the ice maker diconnect at the wire connector, connect new ice maker and slide back in. Turn on ice maker and began producing ice.

Quit making ice
First I cut the icemaker off. Then I removed the screw to the wire cover, next the two screws to the icemaker door, pushed in the retainer clips on the bottom of unit, pulled the unit forward, disconnected the wire harness.Remove the bottom of old unit, attach it to new unit . Plug in the wire harness , push the unit in re-assemble wire cover, ice maker door. Turn ice maker on. Less then 2 min. it filled with water. Droped ice about 1 hr. later. That was sweet music to my ears. Has been making ice every day. I'm glad I orderd the icemaker from Part Select, I waited 5 months for a repairman to get back to repair the unit. Wasnt that difficult to replace. Peace of cake.

Replaced ice maker with new. Went very easy and partselect sent everything I needed
Disconnected power supply and removed back screw which released ice maker from freezer. Removed bottom plate from old ice maker held in place by three additional screws, attached to new ice maker and re-installed. Very simple replacement and I would order again from PartSelect.

Ice maker would not make ice
I ordered a new ice maker because at least a couple of the parts on my old one were broken. I also ordered the valve because I wasn't sure that wasn't also the problem (turns out it was still functional). I removed the ice maker cover, one screw that held a shroud over the water inlet, another screw that held the ice maker to the inside of the freezer, disconnected the wire harness, and slid the ice maker out. I reversed the procedure to install the new one. It was a real breeze! I have returned the valve to Partselect and have been making ice ever since. SO much easier than buying bags of ice all the time!

No ice
I installed a new icemaker and ice level sensors I also had to replace crummy plastic trim parts because of poor quality and broke during disassembly
