My one year old poured a cup of water into the slots on the dishwasher on the inside of the door. This part is obviously not suppose to get wet, because it scrambled the switch board and it would no longer work. I could not start up the dishwasher or even get a light on.
I first took the front of the dishwasher off by removing all of the screws. I then checked to make sure power was getting to the board and that it was not a fuse. When discovering that power was still getting to the main board, and seeing water dripping from the switch board, I realized this part was not suppose to get wet. I unsapped the switch board by disconnecting the wire connection (pulling it out). I reinserted the new one, attached all of the screws, and screwed on the door! It now works great!
