Broken valve, water puddle on the floor
removal of the old valve to identify the problem took the most time. Once the new valve came it it was easy. NOTE: the old one had threaded connectors, and the new one is press/fit so the ends of the tubing need to be cut. The color coding and size matching are great.

Ice maker malfunctioned
We followed the video instructions and it went fairly smooth. After turning off the water at the street we found that the faucet at the wall had it's own "on/off" valve. When finished, we turned on the power and heard the gears going through their revolutions, but no ice was made. We waited 24 hours and still no ice. I removed the cover on the ice maker and adjusted the amount of water to see if that was malfunctioning. Still no ice was created. Waited another 24 hours - nothing. Waited another 24 hours (the site said that sometimes the ice maker would take time to reset itself) - nothing. Then on the fourth day after changing out the triple water valve we heard water being dispensed and later that day it put out the first ice in weeks. Another hour later another batch of ice cubes were ready and deposited into the bin. Since that time, we have had a full bin. I moved the set screw back to it's original setting because a little too much water was being delivered. The cubes weren't separating to individual cubes. That cleared up the problem. This was easily completed - we recommend others do their own work. Just be patient for the system to reset itself.

Not making ice
Simple, I had a repair man come over and diagnose the problem. After confirming, I ordered the part and replaced it. Need to make sure you get the ice build up out of the fitting tnat goes from the back of the fridge connection at the top and the filler tube inside the unit, mine was iced over. Repair man wanted to charge me $250.00... with his service call and buying the part, it cost $120

Left out in the cold an froze
remove the old one and replace with the new one and yes it was that easy. All of the lines and wiring connectors were color coded

Ice maker failed to make ice
Removed lower cardboard cover, shut off water supply valve, unpluged frig. Used wrench to remove 3/8 water line from water valve, removed electrical connectors from solenoids, used fingers to unscrew water connections from valve.

Water valve leaking/actuator broken
I essentially followed the tips from all of the others that did these repairs and took the best from each. For the actuator, it helped to remove the frame of the dispensor from the circuit board that had the ribbon cable attached to it. This way, I could let it dangle loose without the weight of the frame while I replaced the actuator. I did not have the option of a helper to hold the unit while I worked on it. Also, one of the tips about feeding the water line up thru the bottom of the freezer door for slack was very good. I did not need to remove the water line from the dispensing spout which some readers found it difficult to replace if removed. Instead of chewing gum, I had a telescoping magnetic pick up tool that I used to hold the screws and the bracket in place while I fastened the new actuator....but in a pinch, chewing gum will work also. Lastly, the tip about breaking the little positioning hub on the left side of the actuator mouning area was good. If you do not use a needle nose to break this little bump it becomes very difficult to maneuver the new piece into position without breaking the new one.
For the water valve, it was just remove the old. Disconnect the water lines (of course with the water shut off and the refrig unplugged), remove the electrical connnectors and install the new one reversing the removal steps. The water connections are the newer slip on type, so you just need to follow the directions that came with the part and cut off the compression fitting ends of the tube and slip them in.

Water leaking from under fridge
This is an easy repair. Unplug appliance. Remove the old water valve by unscrewing it from the frame of the refrigerator. Disconnect the cables and all the water hoses. The hose fittings are a different type: clip off the old connectors from the hose ends and push the hoses straight into the new connectors till they fit solidly. Reconnect the cables and screw the valve back onto the frame of the refrigerator.
Unfortunately, my leak was from a hose, not the valve, so this didn't actually fix it.
