The display in the brainbox randomly goes blank turning the cooling action off. When adjusting the refer/freezer control the brain box will randomly shut off. Do i need a new brainbox?

Hi Glenn, Thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should take a look at. The touch pad label for your buttons and the electronic control board itself. Unfortunately an electronic control board can only be tested by a certified technician, or if you have the technical sheets that came with your appliance. You could use those to test that part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How do I remove the plastic cover to get to the terminal switch board?
For model number PHS69EJSS0

Hello Henry, Thanks for your question. Remove the screws across the front control box and the screws in the rear control box. Remove the cover over the water line if needed. The housings over the control board separate at the rear left by sliding the rear to the right until the buttons line up with the large slot holes. Disconnect the two thermistors from the top of the control and disconnect the wiring harness. Push the front of the control box forwards, then slide the control straight up and out of the housing. I hope this helps.

Refrigerator is running hi (warm)when you try to bump it down it goes off on the control panel

Hi Kimberly, thank you for your question. When you are having temperature problems in your fridge, there are a few parts that could cause the issue. You can use a multi meter to test most of the parts. Make sure you cut power to your appliance before doing any repairs or tests. First you should test your defrost thermostat. Place the thermostat in ice cold water for 2-3 minutes after removing it from your appliance. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. Another part to check would be your defrost heater. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. You could check your temperature sensor. To find the correct reading for this part you will have to refer to your tech sheet that comes with your appliance. You can usually find this tech sheet behind the bottom grille of your fridge on either the right or left side. These are the most common parts that cause this issue in your appliance. So it is suggested you check them first. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The light does not work on water/ice dispenser and the button to change crushed or cubed doesn't work. Only dispenses crushed ice. Would the problem be this board? Any ideas?

Hello Wade, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to consider either the Dispenser Switch part PS1526359 or the Module Label Cover part PS817741 for your model. We hope this helps.
