The longest part of replacing the drawer was swapping all the veggies out of the old one. No tools, slid the glass drawer front from the old one and slid it into the new one.
Ordered parts, and replaced them. Living in Alaska it made the shipping take a little longer but they arrived and now the top hinge dosen't pop out, door shuts nicley and we were able to turn the temp. control down which in the long run will save electricity.
My hand turned the water filter casing around until it unscrewed and then I put in the new water filter.Screwed the casing tight and I was finished.
Removed the ice box and used a long screw driver to remove thhe two screws holding the motor, unplugged the motor and replaced it with the new one. A fairly easdy job that took 20 min.
First I removed the cover for the filter.(long nut driver) then the two screws holding the filter housing, held the retaining plungers in, and removed the filter housing. Then reversed the process and put it all back together. Simple.
I unscrewed the cover, took out old filter, put in new filter and replaced cover. End of story. Oh...don't forget to turn off the incoming water supply.
Simply unscrewed cover on water filter and pulled old filter out. New filter comes with o-ring on filter. Simply reversed procedure and installed new filter.
Took the front off my drawer and reinstalled it on the new drawer. Very easy.
Ordered the parts off of your catolog selections and snapped everyting into place. Thanks for making it that easy.
I went to the freezer side of the unit and pulled the grates, then used a nut driver to remove the screws and plate from the back of the unit. I located the thermostat and found it had a quick connector to tie it into the wireing I wanted to salvage this so I clipped the leads off the old thermostat and attached them to the new thermostat ,then it was just clipp the new thermo to the old ones position. Then I checked the defrost timer position finally found it (on left hand side under front door frame ) it was held on by two screws. And had a snap on connector. Simple repair. Bought the unit for fourty dollars at a garage sale. It had sold at costco in 98, for $980. Will send the parts I didn't use , back. Runs as good as new sweet unit for less then $100
I placed a bowl under the filter to catch drips. I wrapped two rubber grippers around the housing and twisted to the left with all my strength. (I am a weak woman). I removed the used filter and inserted the new one. I used the grippers again to replace housing over the new filter. Voila! All done for 6 months.
removed the 2 screws then the housing. Then i removed the 2 hoses that are connected to the filter cup.Replaced it with the new one then i connected the water filter .
The most important thing to remember is to empty the door of all items. The following are the next steps: 1) Remove plastic cover on top hinge bracket. 2) Remove 2 screws on top hinge while holding the door so that it does not fall away. 3) Pull the door up and out. 4) While door is on its side make note of orientation of broken piece and then remove the broken hinge from the inside corner of door. You may need your pliers to help remove the broken plastic. Try not to push the old piece into the door. 5) Once the broken piece is removed just insert in same direction as the broken one was. Now reinstall the door in reverse and your done.
2 screws and remove connecters and reinstall in reverse order but!!!first unplug stove
