Door shelf retainer bar end caps broke off at insertion point.

Removed plastic male parts. Inserted new end caps onto old retainer bar. Inserted all into door. A snap, but I didn't need to order the retainer bar after all - the old one was the perfect fit and the one I ordered was way too long. I returned the new retainer bar, and the shipping was more expensive than the part.

Door shelf retainer bar was missing from fridge door

The replacement part was a bit too long (about 6"). Measured length of the existing bar that was on lower shelf and used a rotary tool with a metal cutting disc to make the same length. Everything snapped into place easily.

For years we opened the refridgerator door and the things fell off the bottom shelf.

We ordered end pieces for the shelf holder, attached them to the long piece and snaped them into the door. Three minutes to open the box, attach, and close the door. A less than 20 dollar repair and success!

The refrigerator in my new apartment was missing the brackets that hold the bars so that things don't fall off of the door shelves. It was missing several off of the refrigerator door and one off of the freezer door.

I just had to make certain I had the correct end-cap for the correct side. I placed the two little curved pieces into the slots and applied some downward pressure (gently) onto the end-cap till I heard it "snap" into place. You could then see that it was held in place securely. I did first one side, then fed the bar into it, then placed the other side onto the the bar; inserted the end-cap and secured it in place.

HINT: I myself mistakingly ordered the same exact end-cap for both the freezer and the fridge doors. I was unaware (I failed to check), that the end-caps for the freezer are not the same end-caps as the ones for the fridge door. My refrigerator uses three different end-cap sizes; one size for the actual fridge door and two additional different sizes for the freezer door. Not wanting to exchange it, I used the one I ordered anyway. It still works, but makes the bar protrude into the freezer more than it would have, had I ordered the correct size.

SPECIAL NOTE: This company got the correctly ordered products to me within a couple of days. I would definitely order from them again without hesitation. I am very happy with the product and service. Smooth.

Tenants broke bent the retainer bar and broke end caps

The parts were sent out fast, but the wrong retainer bar.
My apartment bldg is in another state, by the time I got up to my apartment bldg to do the repair several weeks had passed and i lost the bill to get a refund and now I have a $40.00 strip of metal sitting in my garage
So the fix time would have been 15 minutes had I received the correct part.

Bottom shelf (beverage shelf, large bottles, etc.) was unuseable because the plastic end caps were cracked. The metal shelf bar was intact though.

We have a wonderful Kelvinator refrigerator. It has served us tirelessly for more than 15 years - and looks as good as new! (We frequently clean it out and clean the interior and exterior, to keep it looking and smelling clean)

Replacement of the end caps and shelf was very easy!

The broken end caps were removed (missing for years), and it became one of those small projects that one never gets around to. I finally took down the model number and looked online for it. Google or Yahoo (can't remember which) pointed us to you site. I was SHOCKED to see that the parts were still available! I called your friendly customer order line and had a very pleasant experience placing the order. The BIGGEST shock came when the parts arrived THE NEXT DAY!! Just in time for Thanksgiving! You are AWESOME!

The Repair:

Easy as pie. The end caps simply snap into place. I did the left side first, then carefully inserted the metal bar, which is supported by the two end caps. Next I snapped in the right side cap - DONE. It took longer to clean the bar up, than it did to replace the caps!

The Results:

The bottom door shelf is now useable again. We can place 2 liter beverages and juice containers on the door, where they belong! My wife cheered and commented, "The refrigerator is no longer an eye sore when I open it!" :-)

Thank you Parts Select!!!!

First I removed the broken end caps. I placed the new end cap onto the shelf bar and snapped the end cap into the holding slot on the door interior. Took about 5 minutes. Very easy.

The door shelf retainer bar was too long, 6" to 8"

I measured the width I needed and used a handsaw to cut it the proper length. Then I snaped the pieces in and it was a perfect fit.

Door shelf end cap broke

We just put the new end parts into the door and then placed the bar inside the caps. We had contacted our appliance dealer at least three times to get parts for us but to no avail. A friend told me about your website and the rest was history ----- and easy. Thank you.
