This is a humidistat control for a dehumidifier. The humidistat on your dehumidifier responds to the humidity in the air to determine if the appliance should continue to dehumidify or shut off, based on the desired humidity level. This control needs to be replaced if the dehumidifier wont shut off when the desired humidity level is reached. This part is approximately 3.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. The part will be easy to replace, simply remove the front cover, remove the humidistat from the bracket, and remove the two push-on wire connectors. Reverse this process to reinstall the control. Be sure to disconnect power to the dehumidifier before completing this repair.
This part works with the following brands: Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Kenmore, Tappan & White-Westinghouse.
Removed the front cover and then the humidistat from the bracket. Two push on wire connectors and then reversed. Very straightforward and excellent part matching. Given the prices for new dehumidifiers it was great to breathe life back into this unit which does its job well. Thanks for the easy to use web site and fast fast service!

First I pulled the top/side cover off. Disconnected the terminals from the old unit, unscrewed the old unit, and put the terminals on the new unit. Then I put the side/top cover back on, screwed the new humidistat unit into the front cover and then popped and screwed the front cover back in place. Customer service was excellent and order was received promptly as promised. Highly recommend Parts Select!
First I removed the two control knobs and the two screws that hold the front cover in place and then the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Then I reconnected the new humidistat and put everything back together. Works just fine, now.
