Just lay the new glass shelf into the groves. The shelf was too big and would not fit properly down into the groves.

we droppedthe crsper pan glass insert while cleaning the refrigarter and it shattered, the crisper pan ciover lip was chipped.
Easiest way to install was to insert the cover first then insert the glass insert being sure to tilt a little and inert under the shallow lip at the front of the cover. Are the dimensions exactly 17 x 24? It appears the opening on ours is 17 14 x 23 3/4 so want to make sure it fits before ordering.
