take door off replace nylon hinge
Removed Fridgedoor and doorstop with Bearing-Hinge and replaced with new Parts. Reattached Door, took about 15 minutes to do.
The most important thing to remember is to empty the door of all items. The following are the next steps: 1) Remove plastic cover on top hinge bracket. 2) Remove 2 screws on top hinge while holding the door so that it does not fall away. 3) Pull the door up and out. 4) While door is on its side make note of orientation of broken piece and then remove the broken hinge from the inside corner of door. You may need your pliers to help remove the broken plastic. Try not to push the old piece into the door. 5) Once the broken piece is removed just insert in same direction as the broken one was. Now reinstall the door in reverse and your done.
I removed the refrigerator door by removing the two screws on top, I layed the door on it's side and removed 2 screws on the bottom to remove the broken part. I installed the new part, installed and tightened the screws. I then installed the door in place. It was an easy repair.
removed the food from the door, removed the top hinge and hinge cover, placed the door on it's side. I had to use some pliers to remove the bushing from the door. The new bushing slid right in the door and I just put it back together. Pretty simple job, I've had to do this twice so far.
took off cover on top hinge, 30 secs, removed 2 machine screws holding top hinge plate, took door off, 1 min, removed the broken bearing, about 3 mins due to getting all the small nylon bots, put in new bearing hinge, secured the small cover plate, 1 min, replaced the door, secured the top hinge plate, and screwed down the plastic cover plate. About 10 mins tops.
Had to take pilersand remove broken hine from door housing, Just put all new parts on . And I repair appliances from years of working on them !
I watched the "how-to" videos on your website, and followed the instructions. It was very easy, took about 10 minutes, and now the door works like new.
The video that parts select provided was a big help. The repair was simple. I spent most of the repair time digging out the old broken bushing from the hole in the bottom of the door. Needle nose helped withthis task.
Started researching for the part. Watched the video on how to replace bearing. Ordered it and 3 days later the door now works like it should. Thanks to Partselect and the how to video it was easy!
After taking door off, I found the door closure/hinge bearing was broke. I got manual out, looked up part number, googled it, and ordered the part from this website. Couldn't be happier!! My wife is really happy too, such an easy fix
took door off ,replaced the hinge, and put door back on....
Took the door off,as per instructions, pulled the worn bottom bearing out, pushed new in and replaced door. The job was very simple and took about ten minutes. Also I received the part in two days after ording
Couldn't have been an easier. Removed the screw/nuts from the top of the fridge door that held the door in place and removed the door. Unscrewed the holder at the bottom, replaced both parts and put the door back together. It took me longer to get everything out of the fridge door than to replace the parts. EASY AS COULD BE!!!
