Broken shelving in frigidaire gallery side by side refrigerator and broken shelving in white westinghouse/frigidaire refrigerator
I snapped off the old, broken parts of the shelves and in the side by side fridge, I just popped on the new shelf. In the White Westinghouse freezer on top fridge, I had to remove (it snapped right off) the broken side shelf retainer bar end cap from the fridge and remove the broken piece piece of plastic from existing shelf retainer bar end cap that was stuck in the retainer bar. I used a letter opener to help get it out. Then I snapped the new door shelf retainer bar end cap into the bar, and snapped the bar end cap back to the door. Both repairs took less than 5 minutes..........and I am a female who isn't very handy!!

Shelf holders were broken along with end caps
The repairs were easy. The braces and end caps went together fairly easy. The freezer brace needed to be cut to fit but was easily done. 15-30 minutes was all that was needed.

Even though the pieces read one thing they did not fit
I ordered 2 bars, 1 for the freezer and 1 for the fridge area, both bars were too big. I am currently looking for someone with a bandsaw to cut these parts to fit the fridge. The 'left and right' caps are perfect though.

Refrigerator came with house - had missing parts
The refrigerator that came with the purchase of my house had a missing retainer bar in bottom shelf of fridge and a duct-taped retainer bar in freezer. When parts came, all I had to do after removing the duct-tape, was slide up the broken end cap to pop it off then, snap the retainer bars into the end caps and slide them down into place. No tools necessary. Should have done this two years ago when I bought the house!

The fridge door had a broken bottom bar and everything fell off when you opened the door!
I just took off the broken piece and replaced it with the brand new piece I got from Partselect.com. The part was like three bucks and shipping was a little over 5. I fixed the bottom shelf for under ten bucks. I didn't think I'd be able to find the part on the net, but a quick google search led me here. My wife was always nagging me to fix it. The duct tape I used just wasn't good enough for her. Now, with partselect.com I made her dream come true! David Bueno-Hill

Door retainer bar end broke
The plastic ends are held to the retainer bar by small metal tabs in the retainer bar. Pry up the tabs to remove the broken part. Insert the new part and crimp the tabs back down with a pliers. Couldn't be easier.

Needed to replace door shelf retainer for freezer as existing end caps had broken
First removed existing damaged shelf retainer bar and end caps from freezer door. Next cut down new oversized retainer bar to size with hack saw. Then slightly opened up doubled over metal at each end of retainer bar with pliers and screw driver in order to create the small "nicks" that are needed to house the "bumps" that secure the retainer bar to end caps. Used tin snips for this. Next inserted new end caps and used pliers to crimp secure. Clipped in new assembly in freezer door.

Refrigerator door missing parts
I ordered two of the long refrigerator shelf door bars and cut one of them to fit the freezer shelf door because that ready-made door bar was very expensive. The fit after cutting and notching to receive the end caps went very well.

Tenants had broken door brackets in fridge
cut brackets to size and snapped them into place with the caps purchased. I will continue to use PartSelect for all my appliance repair needs. Not only did I receive my order within 2 days but the cost was over half of what I have been paying for the local parts store to order for me. Thank you PartsSelect.

Retainer bar had broken from overloading the door with water bottles.
It took longer to remove the retainer bar from the packaging than it did to install it in the fridge.
Both left and right end caps were pushed into their respective places on the retainer bar and then the whole thing was snapped into place on the door of the fridge.
Super easy!
