Microwave would not start when door closed. Sometimes you could push in or jiggle door and it would work for awhile and then it woud stop again. I knew it eas a door switch issue but wasn't certain which of the 3 or the body latch itself.
I removed the body latch assembly and found the bottom micro switch (NC) terminal burnt and loose. I replaced and working perfectly fine now. Easy diagnose and easy repair.

When I open my door the tray runs in reverse and light stays on
For model number Smh2117s
Hello Venicio, Thank you for the question. This normally indicates an issue with one or more of the Micro switches. Part Number: PS4225460 (1 required) or Part Number: PS4131192 (2 required). I suggest testing the switches with a multi meter to see if they have continuity. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
Switch causes the problem, it does not start the microwave but the timer still works and everything else seems to be fine and what is the function off all there switches
For model number Me16k3000aw
Hello Perry, Thank you for your inquiry. These are the switches that work with the control board to tell if the microwave door is shut, as the microwave will not start if the control board does detect the door is shut. You can test all 3 with a multimeter. Good luck with your repair.
