This part works with the following brands: Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Kenmore, Tappan & White-Westinghouse.
Actually, I didn't install the frame. I only needed the lint screen. So EASY, obviously... I just placed the new lint screen in the old frame. We had been messing around with the torn lint screen for more than one year. Installing the new part was as easy as ordering from PartSelect.

Unscrewed old frame, removed it and put in the new one. Now I have a brand new dryer. Thanks!
First I removed two screws holding a bracket that keeps the two ignition coils in place and removed the wires to the two coils. I replaced the old coils with the new coils, re-attached the wires and re-secured the bracket. I also replace the door catch simply using a flat head screw driver to remove the broken catch and pushed in the new catch. The Lint Screen is a simple replacement requiring no tools.
the repair was easy enough, the idler pulley and bracket was 2 screws to access and one bolt to remove. the thing that amazed me was that Parts Select even had the items we needed, the lint trap was trashed for years as well and I'd looked for it a few times but never found it, When we found Parts Select we found every thing the old beast needed. Its much quieter around here now! that sucker used to howl!
Removed 2 screws and replaced part--very easy.I was very happy to find this part for a 1988 dryer
First of all, check the feedback on your parts installation at partselect.com. You can learn alot and make the job that much easier. I simply popped the top lid on the dryer, remove the electrical connections to the front panel shut off, then removed the screws and popped the tabs for the front panel to install the new belt around the drum. I then opened the back louvered panel to loop the belt correctly around the pulley and proceeded to reinstall both the front and top panels. The lint screen is a simple two screw installation with little or no issues. Once installation was complete the dryer fired up and the drum began to spin once again. A simple repair done at a great savings!
For me it wasn't even a repair, but rather, open the package, take out and discard the old lint tray and pop the new one in! Done. I didn't have to replace the frame. I would like to comment on how easy ordering was from partselect.com and how quickly the part arrived. Very satisfied customer! Thank you!
Removed 2 screws and dropped new screen holder in with lint screen in it and replaced screws. Really easy
This was the easiest and most inexpensive repair I ever had on a dryer. I did a search on the internet, found "PartSelect.com" searched their web site, found the part I needed (at a very reasonably low price) ordered it, received it within 2 days, opened the box, removed 2 screws from the old part, put the new part in, replaced the 2 screws, inserted the filter screen... and my wife was happy. Thank You PartSelect.com for perfect selection, ordering and service.
removed two screws - replaced lint screen replacement, TIME TO REPLACE UNIT - ONE MINUTE. What made this project a snap was the pictures and graphs( parts replace) uses to ensure you are ordering the exact screen .
put it in the lint screen spot.
take out of box remove old screen drop in new screen
Opened the dryer door unsrewed the two phillips holding the filter framework in place did a two second swap-out dropped the new unit into place the new unit and refastened it with the 2 screws that held the old one in place . And was drying a load of clothes within two minutes . . Thank you jg
remove 2 screws, pull frame out. put new in. tighten 2 screws. put lint screen in
I unscrewed the old the lint screen FRAME and easily removed it, replacing it with the new one. The new lint -- SCREEN -- just needed to be squeezed here and there, and molded into a better shape. The screen itself, arrived flattened on the bottom, causing it to be too wide and difficult to remove from the frame. I easily molded it with my hands into the shape of the previous one and it slipped right into place. ( Shaped like an oval, flexible sack.) VERY easy!
