any confusion was on my end. the part had no photo available but the sales staff person was paitent double checked some things on their end, listened to my explanation of what I was trying to replace and gave me phone numbers and addresses if it was not the right part. It was. following a Utube video the job was done under thirty minutes and has been functioning fine.

The same part comes with 10 and 12 pin connections. They sent the wrong one.
The part looked just like the original. My refrigerator model matched PartSelect's shopping tool. But the part didn't fit. They were good at taking the return though. I went to another source and they knew there were two types of connectors. Since I had just found out the hard way, I was able to get it from them.

No ice being made
Watched YouTube video. The one where the repair guy took the entire assembly out of the door and worked on a flat surface. Went exactly as shown in the video.

I’m on my third icemaker and it makes ice intermittently. Why? And how do i fix it?
For model number RS265TDWP
Hello Aaron, thank you for your question. The first parts I would check would be the water valve, and the filter. If the water valve isn't sending water consistently, the icemaker won't work on a schedule. If the filter is not installed properly, or has become clogged it can cause issues with the icemaker as well. The other issue might be the main control board part number DA41-00670C. This board runs most functions in the fridge, and is a leading cause of issues with the icemakers. Most icemakers can be tested themselves, but the process is different for different brands. You should be able to find the testing information in your owners manual. I hope this helps!

My ice maker stopped making ice. I removed the ice maker assembly cover and used a hairdryer to thaw the entire ice maker assembly. As it thawed, the ice-level-detector arm popped up into place, the ice-dispensing arms/teeth rotated a bit, and i watched as water flowed and filled up the ice cube trays. I closed the freezer door thinking all was well. Next morning: Nothing. Just some cubes sitting in the ice maker and going no where. Any other steps i should take? Do you think i need a new ice maker (part 15 on the diagram)?
For model number RSG257AARS/XAA
Hello Brent, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the arm is defective and not dumping the ice. The arm is not sold on its own so the ice maker, PartSelect Number PS4175254 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!
