Broken door latch
I simply unscrewed the broken latch and replaced it with the new latch. Two machine bolts were involved and it was a snap.

Latch on frontloader washer was damaged
The repair consisted of just removing the old, damaged latch and replacing the new one. Only two screws held the latch. The difficult part was finding the part without a model number. Kudos to Partselect.com for providing pictures online of so many replacement parts. I searched their website, providing all the info I had on the washer, but I did not have the model number. The website accepted the info I had and provided me pictures of possible matches; I found it! Thanks, Partselect!

Door latch broke
Removed old part and screwed on new part--very simple. It required an odd screwdriver bit, but we actually had what we needed--and could find it, which was more amazing...

Door wouldn't completely close, machine wouldn't cycle.
Only required the removal of two screws, replacing the broken catch, insuring proper orientation, and replacing two screws. Very simple and intuitive. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.
