The knob was broken.
I positioned myself directly in front of the malfunctioning Frididaire dryer. Carefully griping the defective knob, I applied precisely the correct lateral pull to cause the offending appliance component to come away in my hand. Being ever mindful of the possibility of mixing up the two identical parts, old and new, and recognizing the potentially catastrophic results of such carelessness, I segregated the old part from the new one by immediately placing it in a convenient waste basket. Having applied due diligence to the safe and proper disassembly process, I secured the new knob in my right hand, and being extremely careful to achieve correct alignment, I positioned the replacement in such a way as to require only a moderately firm push to slide the knob onto the switch shaft. Once the installation was complete, I tested the apparatus by turning the knob 360 degrees in a clockwise direction. Satisfied that all new components were functioning nominally, and that the planets of our solar system were still in synchronous orbit around the sun, I rewarded myself with a cold Miller Lite. Since any job worth doing, is worth doing right, I reflected upon the difficulties of the task I had just completed and reveled in a self-congratulatory moment. I hope my experience will serve as inspiration to others, and help them overcome the great challenges in their own lives.

Inside of knob was broken
the old one had fallen off ages ago and I was using pliers to start the dryer. If I had known how easy/cheap it was to find the part on this website and replace it, I wouldn't have waited so long. All I did was push the knob onto the rod that sticks out of the dryer panel. easy as pie

Old plastic timer knob was stripped on the inside
It took about 3 seconds to slide on the new knob. Most important info here -- the new knob has a metal housing inside the plastic that should never strip like the old plastic-only knob. In other words, the new knob is superior to the original equipment. Also, delivery was very prompt. I'm very pleased - thanks!

Timer knob would not turn.
First I was shocked to receive my part the very next day after ordering. The new timer knob went on as easy as you please. I just matched the flat side of the spindle to the flat shaft of the timer knob.

Broken knob & selector handle
Replacing the parts was a little difficult because the pacakges did not come with installation instuctions, However, a few minutes spent reviewing how the control bar is set up i was able to figure it out and able to take it apart with little hassle. If you have small hands it will be much easier since theres very little space between the control bar and the dryer its self. Bottom line; it was fun!

Knob broke at the shaft, no way to fix
Really it was very easy to install. I just lined up and pushed on with my fingers. The knob was smaller than the original but it works and it is really better than using a pliers.

Dryer's timer knob had broken off
REmoved the broken one, put the new one on, just needed my reading glasses to figure out if I had the straight side matched up so it would work. Couldn't have been easier.

Lost timer knob from clothes dryer
The lady at the help desk read my mind as to which part I needed. The knob arrived almost before I hung up the phone. It was the perfect fitting part....returned my clothes dryer to perfect working order in, oh, ten seconds! Thank you!

The timer knob broke off.
I called a few places and found one here in town that had the knob. When I went to get it, it cost so much, I thought I would go online and see if I couldn't get it cheaper. Bought one from you guys...it came the next morning by Fedex. Saved $9 buying from PartSelect, popped it on and it worked perfectly. Nothing to it. If I need anything else, I'll buy from you. Thanks!
