Door closer cam broken
Removed door from refrigerator. Had to use pliers to pull out the broken piece in the bottom of the door. Appears to have gotten "glued" in when they blew in the insulation - was very sticky. All went well after than.
However, it seams that while there are two holes to select from when mounting the lower cam, neither one really works. When closed the cams still don't line up and the door sites just a bit higher than it should and the upper cam's riser is sitting about 1/2 way on the lower cam's. It seems this part is not designed to exactly replace the original or there is something I'm missing.

Refrigerator door would not close properly
Removed the top hinge cap. Removed the 3 screws with a nutdriver. Lifted the door off of the bottom hinge and placed it on it's side. Then I removed both closing cams (one screw holding each). Clean the area then replaced each cam. I put some vaseline on the bottom cam and replaced the door. 4-5 minutes not counting removing and replacing the food inside the door shelves. I'm 56 years old and have always done most of my own handywork. I don't remember any job going so smooth and fast! Ever!

Refrigerator door wouldn't self-close
Super-easy... First, empty refrigerator door. Then, just remove the bolt that goes through the cover over the top hinge. This exposes three more small bolts. Remove these and the top hinge assembly will lift off. Lift door off. Remove cam from door and lower hinge, slip new cams on, and reassemble. The hardest part was pulling all of the junk stuff out of the refrigerator door. Who know you could accumulate so much salad dressing?

Refrigrator door made loud pop when opening and closing.
Simply remove the cover over top hinge and remove the three outer screws (Do NOT remove the center screw). Lift the door off the lower pivot pin. Turn door upside down and replace the upper cam and then the lower cam on the pivot at the bottom of the refrigerator case. Reintall the door by setting the door on the lower pivot and then reinstall the top pivot and cover. VERY easy and what a difference. No more "POP".

Refrigerator door of our double door not closing
Removed the top bracket (3 5/16 size hexhead bolts) Lifted door free of the bottom cam and hinge socket (after, of course removing the items from the door shelves!) removed one bolt holding the lower came to the cabinet. Pried the cam loose, replaced with new and re-bolted removed one bolt from cam on door - unable to remove cam until I removed the guard bracket (two more bolts) worked the plastic cam from the door by twisting it and pulling the socket from it's hole. Slipped the new cam into the socket hole, aligned the bolt hole and bolted it tight. Aligned the top cam to the bottom cam as I replaced the door. Re-attached the top bracket. All bolts were 5/16 Door now works perfectly again.

Door was not closing
Removed all the adjustable shelves inside the door. Removed the top hinge cover (1 nut). then the top hinge bracket (3 nuts). The door doesn't weight very much so you shouldn't have to worry about the door just falling off after you remove the top hinge. then simply lift the door off the bottom hinge and carefully lay it down. One nut in each of the plastc cams on the bottom of the door and an easy swap out with the new parts. A little vaseline one at least one of the surfaces of the cam, reverse the order and simply put things back together and your good to go. Door closes on its own like new. You might as well get both parts for the lower cam and swap them out simultaniously since you have the door off. PLEAS NOTE: Yes there are two different parts for this repair.

Refidge door would pop open all the time.
We thought we were in need of a new seal around the door but as my husband checked the door he found out it was a piece under the door that holds it up so the door was not sealing right when it closed. I went on line. Found this site and found my fridge. My husband viewed the pics of the parts and figured out we needed a cam. I ordered my part and could not believe it came the very next day!!! I didn't even pay for anything other then regular delivery. He took off the door and it was simple to just slip on the new part and replace and put the door back on.. Nothing much to tell here. Less then 30 minutes. Thank you so much for the quick service getting it out to us. I was about to put a child lock on the door just to keep it closed..

Door wouldn't shut properly
supported the door on blocks. removed old parts with a socket and ratchet. the new parts didn't line up quite right, so some modification with a dremel was necessary. otherwise, the repair was very simple.

The door would not stay shut.
We dealt with this problem for well over six months. Last week while visiting our home my mother tried to schedule a repair man to come out. Upon hearing this conversation i urged her to hang up the phone and let me fix it. This prompted me to go on line and find the three dollar part needed to fix it. With the help of a friend to lift and hold the door i unbolted the black closer piece and replaced it with the new one. This whole process took less than 10 minutes and completely fixed the problem. The service visit would have cost upwards of $80.00 so this was well worth the two days shipping i paid for.
