on/off switch module stopped working-wouldn't shut off
Replaced with switch module easily found per our model number on the partselect.com web site. The part arrives in a few day (2 actually) and my husband installed in just a few minutes. Perfect fit - problem solved. Sure beats buying a new appliance! Thanks!

compactor would not shutoff
I removed the switch and disasembled it. found problem replaced it with new

on-off buttons not functioning
ordered the part from part select and received in 3 days.
removed the faceplate (2 screws)
removed the switch assembley (2 screws)
took wires off old switch, and placed on the new.
replaced all the screws
Bingo, works great.
Saved $150 labor and service call.
