This kit has been redesigned. The supply tube is now one piece. This spray arm kit comes with an upper spray arm, holder, water supply tube and a screw. This kit does NOT include the upper support or mount.
This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
**Please note: This is a redesigned part. The top mounting clip and screw are no longer needed.
I first had to take the upper drawer of the dishwasher out so that I could get to the faulty part. This was a little tricky as there were two clips that had to be removed from the arm slides before the upper drawer could be removed. I then realized that the faulty part DID NOT exactly match the repair part I received. The original connection wand was in two pieces where the repair part was all one piece. That required a bit of thought before I began the repair. There was NO drawing accompanying the new part, so I had to decide how the part would be connected. After a little trial and error, I determined the arrangement of the repair part and completed the repair. All in all, it went well, but there was a few anxious moments when I first saw the difference between the original part and the new part.

I screwed the rack mount to the spindle usingthe extra screw I ordered. I removed the upper dishrack's front stops and slid the rackout. I clamped the mount to the dishrack. I screwed the rotor to the spindle with the screw that came with the rotor kit. I slipped the feed tube mount over the end of the tube and clamped it on the dishrack. I replaced the rack in the slides and replaced the front stops.I had a hard time driving the screws. The slots are crossed but do not seem to be standard Phillips. The screws were hard to drive into the holes in the hard plastic. Before I could drive the mount screw all the way, the slot was too stripped to use.
Removed upper basket and installed the arm. New snap in didn't require phillips screwdriver as old one and new support had split to insert. Replacing upper spray spinner dropped screw down around pump. This caused misery unassembling lower covers to receive Stainless Steel, so magnet won't help ended up with mirror and hemistat to reach through large screen figures. So make sure to put towel or something in the bottom to catch parts.
Used nut driver to remove old spray arm assembly on top rack. Reinstalled the new assembly, clamped the holding assembly onto the rack, tightened the holding assembly--that's it.
First I removed the upper basket from the dishwasher by taking off the end clips from the right and left hand slides. The clips are removed by prying them gently upward with a screwdriver.Second I removed the old spray arm assembly by slipping the old tube off of the rotary fitting.Third I removed the center screw from the rotary fitting which holds the upper spary arm in place. I also removed the small plastic piece (block) which is clipped to the wire basket.Fourth I installed the new spray arm assembly making sure to orient the plastic spacer block so that the spray arm rotates freely. The spacer block clips on the wire tray and the assembly is held in place with a single screw. The new assembly includes a one piece extension tube and end funnel so it is really easy to install.
Watched the repair video and the installation was a snap. Only problem we had was we had taken the support off the rack and when reapplied we put it on backwards!! Thanks to the video instructor who mentioned the "groove" I figured it out and moved it to the correct position. It works great and saved us so much $$$. Thank you for your great web site, fantastic customer service phone help and superior instructions. Will definitely come here again and recommend to all our friends.
Screwed the base together and clipped the holders on basket. wa-la done.
removed old spray arm and hose. You must keep and reuse bracket to attach new spray arm to the upper rack. 20 year old dishwasher now works perfectly. Less than 5 minute install
I removed the screw that held the arm in place. Make sure you remember where it is supposed to go & keep the little clip that holds it to the top rack. Put the new parts in just the way the old ones came out. Don't forget to use the new screw & washer, my old one was a little stripped. Easy, just as the other posts said (and reading them gave me the confidence to try this myself!)
First I removed the old spray arm and water supply tube. There was one screw at the top of the spray arm and the tube holder clip. The new water supply tube is one piece, not three like the old one (which is why it melted) so the tube holder clip is severed so it can be placed around the tube. The old clip is a solid piece so if you only get a new tube you won't be able to get the old clip around it. I didn't need a new spray arm but thought it would be a good idea to replace the entire spray arm apparatus. I took note of how the old spray arm was placed and put the new one right in! It was very easy.
all i did is to remove the screws out take out the damaged ones and replace them the new ones put the screws back, it was very easy, it save me time and money. Thank-you part select.com
Removed old parts, removed one screw. Then installed new kit, replaced one screw. No problems.
Received unit in two or three days even during Christmas rush.Replaced sprayer with just a screwdriver in no time and dishwasher is working perfectly. PartSelect is the only way to go. I have used them for other parts and they are always prompt and easy to identify parts on their website.
i ordered replacement part (you need the whole kit, not just the tube-the replacement "tube" wont fit in the old arm) got it in about 2 days, put it on in 5 mins. And i'm not usually good at this.Great and timely service.
I took a picture of the old set up to serve and my "directions" I removed one screw , put the new part on and re installed the screw. It was very, very easy and the quality of the parts you provided was excellent !
