Middle spray arm arm - upper arm mount broke

Well the first part I ordered (Middle Spray Arm Kit) did not come with the Upper Arm Mount Bracket which is what I needed so I had to call and order it after waiting 6 days for the middle spray arm kit which I didnt really need.
If yours breaks check it out by unscrewing the screw on the bottom of you Upper arm bracket and you will see what the problem is. Once you see all you need is the Upper Arm Mount order it and be watchful when installing. It is not like the video. You have to assure that you have the mount angle to the left or your spray arm will not spin.

Broken middle and upper spray arm

Dishwasher 9 years old and the replacement parts were re-engineered to make installation easier. It took about 30 minutes to install the new spray arm kit. Once I ordered the parts, they were here in two days...even though regular shipping was requested. I will continue to use partselect to order parts for anything in this house I can repair. The parts cost $35. A repair service would have been $150.

Clip that held the upper spray arm broke

The repair should have taken 5 minutes but I did not realize that the clip had a front and a back - so check that before you remove the old clip as the rod the spray arm spins on is angled and it will stick if you mount it the wrong way.
Also the clip has been redesigned so you do not need the little cover - if you buy the spray arm kit PS382824 it is all you need - good luck!
Repair man wanted $250 - I did it for $40.00 and bought an estra $2.30 cent part!

Old rubber manifold rotted out with multiple leaks

Replaced with one-piece unit made of upgraded material. The two mounts did not match. Luckily, the old mounts were of good material allowing me to reuse them. Did not return the unmatched mounts because the inconvenience wasn't worth the effort or cost. Unit works like new now.

Spray arm hose shot

No Brainer. Watch that the support bracket is oriented so the arm spins without restriction.
Use the small pliers to remove the brackets, or a flat head screwdriver.

The spray arm had a huge hole in the tube. I ordered the part one day and it was sitting at my door the next. I borrowed a nut driver from my neighbor and had the part in in less than fifteen minutes. It works great and I saved a lot of money.

I took out the old spray arm using the nutwrench and put the new one in the exact same way the old one came out.

Hose to upper rack spray arm disintegrated.

First, removed screw which holds bracket and spray arm to rack. Then disassembled spray arm by removing bolt-headed screw from bottom of spray arm. Laid out parts as they were taken off. Also removed "U" shaped bracket from upper rack which held hose.

Put new bracket to hold redesigned plastic extender on upper rack. Assembled new parts in same order as old ones were taken apart with bolt-headed screw. Attached assembly with bracket to upper rack (making sure plastic extender was pointed to rear) using one screw.

Done - probably saved $150-200!
