Gas dryer was not heating up

I removed the front panel from the dryer and observed that the glow plug was not getting hot when the dryer was turned on. I removed the glow plug and verified that power was present using an OHM meter. Power was present. I could also see a hairline crack in the glow plug. The new glow plug took about 2 minutes to install and immediately glows red when the dryer is turned on. Easy fix.

Dryer was not drying clothes

I went to a repair website to see what some of the problems could be and tested for them. I checked the power starting at the circuit breaker box and went all the way to the igniter. I discovered that the igniter had a small break in it and determined that that was the cause for dryer heat not coming on.

Gas dryer would not heat up

I checked the sensor and other components for continuity and found they all worked ok. I check the Igniter and found no continuity or resistance. That was the problem. Installation was easy. One screw and a two wire plug.

It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to remove the front cover, and 10 minutes to remove and replace the ignitor. Works like a charm. Saved me lots of money. $$$$$$$$$. Thanks for the information.
