The ice despenser in the door has never worked properly
Replaced the ice bucket (old one was cracked) the auger, auger coupling and auger drum. The new parts had been redesigned to replace the orginal auger helix and auger sleeve which had been replace two times and never seemed to last more than a few weeks. The new parts work great and we have as much ice available as we need. The replacement was stright forward but I do reccomend that you make a simple drawing of the ice crusher blade and washer locations as you dissassemble them to aid in reassembly.

Auger blades separated from hub.
First I removed the screw holding the ice door shaft (at the rear of the ice container). Removed clip of which the screw was holding in place (no need to remove the clip from the shaft). Then I removed the front cover screws, separated front cover from ice container. Door shaft is removed with front cover assembly, no need to remove anything else from front cover. Pulled out auger shaft, removed circlip (snap ring) and washer from front of shaft. Used an adjustable wrench to remove plastic nut from front end of shaft. CAUTION - the plastic nut is reverse thread, make sure to turn it clockwise to loosen and remove. Pulled off broken auger then reassembled with new auger in the reverse order as previously described.

Ice bin auger drum was broken.
First, I removed the 6 screws which hold the ice bin to the drum and the front cover. I then removed the screw which holds the door lever and bracket to the ice bin. Then I took the C clip and washer off the end of the auger to remove it from the housing. I removed the plastic nut to remove the auger drum from the auger shaft, being careful to place the blades on the table in the order they were removed. I then installed the new auger drum on the shaft and re-assembled everything in the reverse order. This was really easy for me because I had replaced the auger previously. (about 2 years ago)

Ice maker dispenses plastic parts (the auger)
I began by removing the ice maker and storing the ice. The part did not come with instructions so I began taking the ice maker apart. I ran into problems rather quickly so I went to the "part select" web site and there was a video with instructions on removal and reinstallation of the auger. It was a breeze after that. These guys are obviously professionals!

Plastic chips in ice. Slow to auger to blades.
Remove 4 self tap screws holding on front cover/bin handle. Remove 2 self tap screws holding drum cover. Remove 1 self tap screw at back of bin holding door actuating rod and spring, slide forward to disengage. Remove "E" clip and flat washer. Remove plastic nut {clockwise/left hand threads]and remove crusher parts [keep in order removed]. Slide new drum on shaft and reassemble crusher in reverse order. Install drum cover w/2 self tap screws. Install flat washer and "E" clip. Re install actuator rod and spring assy. Install front cover and test in refrigerator. The 2 self tap screws that hold drum cover are easier to remove with a 1/4' drive ratchet and 1/4" socket because of limited space behind actuator rod. This job is a snap to do. I'm sure it's at least $50.00 cheaper than a service call.

No ice coming out of the ice maker
Had to replace the auger drum. Went fairly smooth. The video that was linked next the part was a big help, especially when all the blades of the ice chopper came off of the shaft at once and I needed to get them back in the correct order. I did a freeze frame on the moment in the video to figure out the order.

Removal of the ice maker was problematic
The wire connection was on the side of the ice maker instead of the rear(like in the instructional video), so I left the ice maker in place to perform the control replacement.

Ice maker was leaking. Also the baffle was broken in the bin and the auger drum was broken.
We followed the instructions the repair man gave on the film where he shows you how to change the parts...This was a life saver...I will reccomend this site to all of my friends and family...I don't think we could have changed these parts without this film. He gave you all of the instructions step by step and told you what tools you would need and showed you everything...Even in what order to take the screws out...Thank god for him.....Because there were no instructions in the bags the parts came in.....and my parts came in record time also and I live in a rural area (in the country) Thanks again PartsSelect Dorothy Johnson

The auger drum had broken & not distributing ice.
Once I removed the ice bin from the freezer section of refrigerator and removed all the necessary screws was able to remove the auger drum, but had some difficulty in reinstalling the crusher blades in the dispenser. After several tries, got it right and dispenser is performing like new.
