Ice maker needed to be replaced as it quit working.
Loosened two top screws using a hand held mirror and screwdriver and removed a bottom screw then unplugged the unit inside. Five minutes and repair was complete. Easy as that!

Ice maker quit making ice--had to either be a faulty switch in the ice maker or a faulty water valve. I guessed it was the ice maker switch and ended up being correct.
It was exactly as everyone else described--remove old ice maker, unplug, plug in new ice maker, attach new ice maker. 3 screws, 1 plug. My plug was the one on the ice maker not on the refrigerator (ie I used the wiring/plug that was already in the freezer).

Ice maker stopped making ice
This was an easy repair.
First I turned off the breaker that supplies power to the refrigerator, then I followed instructions to remove the old ice maker. I removed the bottom screw and loosened the two top screws and it came out easily.
The only unexpected problem I ran into was that the connection at the refrigerator end was 'hard wired', i.e., the wiring harness was not removable from the freezer.
After disconnecting the wiring harness from the old ice maker, all I had to do was plug the wiring harness into the new unit, slide it into place, then replace the bottom screw and tighten the two top screws.
Turned the power back on and had ice within 1/2 hour! : )

Ice maker stopped making ice
First I unpluged the refriderator and removed the old ice maker. I then just simply installed the new ice maker. It was just that simple. The next morning I woke up with a full tray of ice.

Ice maker was not working
After de-installing the old ice-maker, I noticed that the rotating commutator was broken. Therefore, the electrical rotor was not making contact. The old "working" ice maker plus" system was easily adaptable to the new ice maker unit. The new replacement box came with plenty of spare cable adapters for multiple ice maker settings.

Ice maker wouldn't cycle. Water dumped in freezer.
The ice maker is held in by three screws. There is an electrical connection. Also, there is a water line to the rear of the unit. The replacement unit had clear instructions and a selection of parts to match the defective device. Hint: don't discard the old unit until the new unit is configured for installation. Turned on the water and the electricity to the fridge, and had ice in several hours.

Ice maker quit
Looking at the instructions it looked like I had to rewire the the plug in the adapter. As it turns out, you don't .Using a screw driver, I released the braket mount and the nut driver loosened the nut holding the tray to the wall. It came right off when you lift it straight up and the wire assembly was exactly the same as the original. All I did was plug in the new ice maker, Hang the assembly on the loosen nuts and tighten again and put the screw back in the bottom bracket that held it in place. I spent longer looking at the instructions than I actually did in the whole replacement time. By morning we had a good amount of ice. EASY>>

Unit stopped making ice
First, I loosened the two top screws and removed the bottom screw. Then lifted the unit up and out. Next, I unplugged the wire plug and removed the ice maker unit from frig. The replacement ice maker was identical to the original, wire loom and all. So all I had to do is plug in the wire plug, slide the top down on the loosened screws and tighten them. Next, installed the bottom screw, turned on the water, flipped the wire down and waited for ice. We had ice being made by the next morning and in about 3 days had a full bin.

Defective ice maker
First 1/4'' nut driver was needed. Then i proceeded to remove the nut just below the ice maker in a white bracket. Then i loosen the two nuts at top of icemaker, enough to lift it off the clips. Then that allowed me to unplug the plug in rear socket. Then you plug in the new plug that came with icekaker and reattach ice maker making shore the two top clips slide into each other. Do not tighten unto you incert bottom screw in lower bracket.Make sure icemaker is push all the way up ,then tighen all screws.

Ice maker didn't work and flooded the ktchen twice.
Removed two screws, pulled the element out and disconnected the wire harness. Reversed the procedure and we were one. Kept a close watch n the ice maker to make sure we didn't have another flood. The first time an ice cube stuck between the metal bale and the side of the freezer--we had about 50 gallon of water on the floor. Thought we had it fixed and a few days later another flood. Decided to replace the unit and it is working great...Hopefully no more floods.
