Shut Off Arm

Part Number 11743310

This is a shut off arm for the ice maker in a refrigerator. When the shut off arm has reached maximum height, it triggers the switch to shut off the ice maker so it does not continue to make ice until the level of ice in the ice bucket begins to drop. The ice maker can also be shut off by lifting the shut off arm past the maximum height and into the locked position. This part is made of metal, and measures approximately 9 inches wide and 4 inches tall. This is an OEM replacement part.

Part Number 11740252

When the icemaker shut off arm is high enough the icemaker will shut off and no more ice will be made until the level of ice in the bin drops. The ice maker in my fridge had been broken for months. I kept passing it off thinking it would be an expensive and time consuming repair. However, I finally decided to do a little research and found your website. I ordered the part on Friday and got it on Saturday! I couldn't believe how fast the shipping was! The instructions that came with the ice maker and the video on the website made this job a breeze! I had ice in a couple of hours! Thank you SO MUCH! I can now get rid of those pesky ice trays and free up freezer space.

Ice maker broke

I bought part number 4317943. and used the same wire bracket from the old Ice maker. I had a little trouble reaching the screws, I am 6'2 and had a little trouble seeing and reaching what I needed too. My Wife is alot smaller and had no problem reaching in and installing the Ice maker with a little help from me, all I did was hold it inplace for her and give her a little advise.

Ice maker wont make ice - motor broken

The ice maker wasn't working. I diagnosed the motor as being overworked and burnt out.

It stopped working a few months ago and I never got around to changing it. But my father who came to visit decided to take it apart. In doing so, he misplaced one of the three screws. Otherwise the ice maker went in very quickly. I spent the rest of the time looking for the screw and eventually gave up and searched through Lowe's for a match. Needless to say I found the original screw when I was putting all my tool box away.

Ice maker replacement

I have removed the exsisting Ice maker with just a not driver for a tool. I had loosened the two top mount scews and removed the lower mount screw with a 11/32 nut driver (Yellow Handle) and removed the ice maker cradle assembly mount holes out of the exsisting mount clips. The new Ice Maker had come with extension cables and lever arms of differnt type. I used the exsisting lever arm from my ice maker. I also snapped in place my original cover onto the ice maker. Parts were correct match to a T. Reversed the order of removal and within 15 mins I had Ice. Great work Guys! Sincerely, Kurt Wilson Magnolia TX.

Icemaker stopped making ice

I wasn't sure what part of the icemaker was bad -- the shaft from the motor broke but I didn't know if that was the problem or if the heater had gone bad, keeping the ice from coming out or if the control module was bad so it wasn't signalling the heater or what so I decided to replace everything and only do it once! Removed the old one held by a few screws, unclipping the wiring harness and installing the new one -- perfect fit. My wiring harness in the refrig plugged right into the new unit. Didn't have to use any supplied patch cords. The new unit started cycling in fifteen minutes. It doesn't make quite as much ice as the old one did but it certainly makes enough. Smooth sailing -- hassle free.
