Dishes in top of washer were not getting clean.
Our diskwasher is over 20 years old. The manufacture did not even list the model anymore. Googled - Kitchenaid parts old. Found your site and order the part on Sat. night. It arrived on Wed. Installed as follows that night. After reading other reviews on how the job went and seeing that people had problems getting the tube to slide on the outlets I decided to take the rack completely apart so as to have unrestricted access to the connections. Would be easier to work the tube on to them.
First I removed the top rack by releasing the two retainers on the upper rack side rails which hold it up. Then I turned it with bottom up and released all of the plastic clips that held the bottom half of the rack in place. If a clip breaks you can use a nylon cable tie to replace it. Then I took out the screw that holds the metal water bar in place and removed it. Then I took out the screw that holds the plastic part that the water bar was mounted on off. Then with the outlet where the tube was to be mounted not connected to anything it was easy to slide the tube on it. I then was able to slide the tube on to the bracket at the back of the rack. Had to use a screw driver to help get the tube over the round outlet. Then worked it on to where it should be. Reassembled the top rack and put it back on the side rails and washed a load. It worked just like it did when it was new. Saved a service call $75.00 and only took about 30 minutes working at a slow pace. Love it when everything works like it should.

The old tube had dry rotted and crumbly
I removed the old hose, I lightly coated the id of the new tube with vasoline, both ends, and then heated the oblong end with the hair dryer to soften it and it slid on with litte force. The round end installed without heating.

Easy as pie!
So easy I could do it! I pulled the old tube off (after having dirty dishes for weeks and not realizing it was because of a hole in the hose. When I told my husband I was going to call a repairman, he suggesting ordering the part on line and doing it ourselves - no reason not to! Piece of cake!

Water tube rotted out and support cracked, no water going to top rack of dishwasher.
Pulled off old tube, applied small amount of lubricant to each end of tube, then just pushed ends together. Slide right on, attached new support and in less then five minutes, fixed. Dishwasher running like new.

The tube on the top split
Our old Kitchenaid Dishwasher was not getting the glasses on the top shelf clean. I looked and found the tube running to the washer arm under the top basket was split. I replaced the tube. First I put dish soap in the ends of the new tube, so they slipped onto the other parts with only moderate force. Now the dishwasher is making the glasses in the top basket clean again. Regards, Bob

Rubber water tube that delivers water to the upper rack had a large hole.
Took the tube off and noted that there was a factory drilled hole on the underside that lets water drain. I slipped the new tube over the inlet port and the other end over the rotating washing arm aparatus port and everything worked fine. Very easy and fast repair.

Hose kept slipping off - stretched out of shape from use and age.
Used a heat gun (or hair dryer could probably work)to stretch the ends of the hose to slip over areas to connect.
