I see that there are 2 thermostats and 1 thermistor in this unit. Don't know which one controls convection temperature. This microwave runs at 100 degrees lower than the temp setting. 450 degrees produces 350 degrees.
For model number LMVH1711ST
Hi Gerry, Thank you for the great question. You will need to replace the Thermistor, PartSelect Number PS3528960. Hope this helps!
Microwave exhaust blower kicks on for no apparent reason, even when not cooking in it or cooking on the stove under it . Some times it runs for long period and other times briefly, could possibly be a thermostat problem?
For model number LMV1831ST
Hi Marty,
Thank you for your question. The exhaust fan is designed to come on when the thermostat in the microwave senses heat from either microwave or the cooktop and it will not shut off until it has cooled. If it is coming on when the microwave and stove are not in use, then you will need to check the thermostat or have someone come and inspect it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
