Dryer was blowing cold air
It's amazing... I fixed my dryer!! I am a 47 year old woman with no technical training, and I did it!
I live in a apartment and I bought the Whirlpool Dryer (Model #LER7646JQ0) USED for $150 about 6 months ago. The dryer started blowing cold air, so I called the place that I bought it from and they quoted me a price of at least $300 to fix the dryer.
After searching through google, I found the partselect.com website, and read the repair stories. I decided to take a chance. I ordered just 2 of the suggest 4 parts that could fix the issue, and the dryer did not work. The next day I order the other 2 parts, and that did it - my dryer was fixed.
The diagrams on the site were a little confusing to me (the dryers looks a little simpler inside) but it was easy to repair. I used a screw driver and plier to do the repair, however it would have been much easier if I had a socket set. I would suggest buying all parts suggested, and return the items you don't need. Here are the parts I used:
1. THRMST-FIX (Thermostat, High Limit 221 F
2. USE WPL 279838 (Heating Element (10" long x 6" wide)
3. Thermal Cut-Off Kit
4. Cycling Thermostat (Limit: 155-25) (Thermostat, Internal-Bias)

Dryer would not heat.
Used the trouble shooting tips provided as a guide and a multimeter to test and find the defective part. Testing indicated no continuity thru the high limit thermostat. I ordered the part and received it in 3 days. Had the repair done a full week before the repairman could even come to the house and saved well over $100 in repair costs and 2 weeks or longer of down time. Great website and service.

My dryer stopped blowing hot air. Checked to see if vent was blocked and found that it was not so I checked the heating element and found that it was not working so I ordered the heating element, thermal cut-off, and thermostat.
After receiving the parts from PartSelect.com with a very fast TA. I replaced the parts and repaired my dryer in about the 7-10 min. It took me 5 min to replace the parts using a nut driver and about 5 min to put the rest of the dryer together. Thank you PartSelect for saving me some cash...

No heat in dryer and lint filter torn
Dryer didn't heat. I got the heating element thru sears and when I ordered it I thought I should also order the thermostats but I didn't. Element arrived two days after ordered right on time. Slipped right in in a few minutes. Turned dryer on. No heat. Went back to drawing board. Watched videos on part select site and realized I needed thermostats. Ordered them and lint filter. Arrived right on schedule and also slipped in in no time flat. Turned dryer on and yes it heated perfectly. Wife was pretty impressed with new lint filter as other one was torn with jagged edges. MY SUGGESTION: if your dryer doesn't heat and you can't test each individual item thermostats and heating element order the three of them ( high limit and cycling thermostats and heating element) cause they'll probably will all go at the same time anyway. Then won't have to wait on the second shipment if things don't work with partial replacement. Parts select was great and videos are well understood and easy to follow. Would certainly use again.

No heat
My dryer did not heat my clothes. I replaced the heating element, three thermostats, and a fuse. The whole installation took less than 15 minutes and was very easy!

No heat problem
First off I was really impressed about the videos provided. They helped make the repairs with more confidence. I changed just about every part related to an heating problem before I hit the defective part. Part I changed were Heating Element - 5600W 240V, Cycling Thermostat, Thermal Fuse, High Limit Thermostat. After replacing all these parts, still no heat. I then read that the Thermal cutoff kit has an additional sensor that you can't get separately but as a part of a kit which forces me to purchase an item twice. After another week spent waiting for the second order to arrive, the part came and I was able to replace and regained heat fairly quickly. Yeah! I do have an ohm meter but the dryer is at a location that is very difficult to reach when plugged in so changing the parts one by one was the safest way to go. It is fixed now and we are all happy. My only complaint is that the thermal kit was not mentioned as a possible issue or else I would have ordered it on the same order. In any case this earned me major brownie point to my significant other double Yeah!!!

Dryer runs not much heat..
I am almost 60yr. old, I have never come across a better do it yourself site ever. The repairs went well and the video instruction were even better, where have you been my whole life? Instead of picking & plucking parts I went for all 3. I have gone back and forth to stores way to many times in the past for repairs. This was quick and easy and I had no doubts about the job. No heat
I first repaired the most likely suspects. The heating element and fuse. That did not do the trick. So then I replaced everything else that could effect the heat, that was over 1% of the likely problem. Wala...fixed. Directions were easy, work was easy and the result was a working dryer, good as new. I probably replaced a few items that were not bad but the entire cost was just over $100. A far cry from replacing the dryer at $599

Dryer would not start
I put in the new parts but it still did not work, Turned out the Thermal Fuse Blew,removed the two wires and clipped them together and the Dryer worked, have to replace the Thermal fuse and everything will be OK.

Taking a long time to dry clothes
Replaced heating element, thermostats and fuse, cleaned dryer vent shafts and it is now working like when it was new.

Remoave back of dryer, remove the old parts, install the new. But the dryer still is not heating
