This it to long to fit the shredder, the lid wont fit. Is this something that can be fixed.

Hello Gayle, Thank you for the question. Checking the model number this is the only Adapter listed but the manufacture has discontinued the original Adapter and replaced it whit this one. Unfortunately we do not have another option for this mode. For more specialized assistance or to speak with someone about this, I would suggest calling the manufacturer of the appliance directly.
