The splash guard, also known as a mounting gasket, is used for garbage disposals. The guard creates a tight seal between the sink and the garbage disposal ring. The Splash Guard had begun to disintgrate. One from Lowes didn't fit correctly. The Stopper got thrown away by accident during the holidays.
New Splash Guard fits perfectly and allows food to go into the disposer more easily. Couldn't be happier. ordered items one day and were here the next at no extra cost.

Hi, my disposal model gfc1000y 02 requires a splashguard that measures exactly 3" diameter. The 'universal' replacements don't fit (they're all too big, measuring about 3 1/8") and i can't find a splash guard that assures compatibility with my model! Do you have any GE replacements that are exactly 3"? Many thanks...

Where is the re set button on this model disposer?

Hello JL, thank you for your question. If the unit has a reset button it will be a red button located on the bottom or lower back side of the garbage disposer. If the garbage disposer gets jammed and the motor overloads the reset button will pop out and shut the disposer off. I hope this helps.
