The dryer would not stop running when you open the door
After watching Part Select video. I simply followed the instructions. Make sure when you put the switch, the level on the switch is pointing toward the door. The actual repair time was less than 15 minutes. I did it once, then I did it a second time to show my wife how simple the job was. This really a simple job.

Dryer door not fully engaging
Our lint filter is inside. The hardest was getting the lid off. You have to unscrew the control console from the back then unscrew the remaining piece on the front then slide the top forward to open. Unsscrew the 2 screws inside the door to remove the door latch assembly. Its tough to pull the assembly off, we pried w pliers then quickly attached the new one, put in place, replace the 2 screws, slide the top back on and reattach the control console. Took about 45 min total. Be sure to unplug first!

Switch no longer had a spring action
The hardest part was deciding how the get the top cover lifted. My 7 year old son, who is in the cub scouts, wanted to give the repair work a try. I helped him unsnap the two lid clips and the switch connector. My son unscrewed the old switch and installed the new switch. We then had to vacuum up the enormous amount of lint, paper, and misplaced socks that were behind the washer and dryer so that Mom would be happy.

The dryer failed to stop spinning when the door was opened
I opened the top of the dryer and accessed the switch that controls the light and the spinning when the door was opened. I removed and replaced the switch and the problem was solved.

Dryer would not stop when door is opened
First I removed the two screws to remove the lid of the dryer. I then detached the 3 wires from the old switch assembly part. I then removed the two screws from inside the dryer which holds the switch assembly. I replaced the old switch with the new one, attached the 3 wires and replaced all screws. It was a simple process.

My dryer would not come on. It worked fine the last time I had used it.
Open the lint door, take out the two screws with a philips screwdriver. Pop up the dryer top with a flat screwdriver. Unscrew the two screws holding the door switch assembly with a philips screwdriver. Unplug old door switch assembly and replace with new one and screw two screws back into place. Push top of dryer back down and replace the two screws inside the lint door. I am a single mom of five, by the way and it was so easy even I could do it all by myself. I have been an office admin/clerk for over twenty years and I am just recently going to college to earn an associates degree in nursing, so I am definitly no mechanic.

Wouldn't come on
This was my Mother's dryer. It wouldn't come on. After checking the switch in the breaker box and eliminating that, I went over and jiggled the door switch assembly. It was just loose and didn't click. After figuring out what was wrong with it, came home and ordered the part. I read a couple of the stories others had sent in to my husband. When the part came in, I asked him if he needed the instructions printed out. He said no it sounded pretty simple to him. He and my son went over and they were done in 5 minutes. however, it took another 10 minutes to take the door off to retrieve the screw my son dropped during the repair!

Remove the two screws that held the part in place, pulled the wire connector apart then replace it with new part. Pretty simple repair.

Door switch had broken off and interior bulb not working
I first checked the owner's manual an on line documentation from the manufacturer on how to change the door switch on the dryer but found nothing. First step: Turn off breaker to dryer. I then popped the lid of the dryer and could see that the switch was accessible from the top. I was pleasantly surprised to see the parts arrive within 2 days with the lowest cost standard shipment. I loosened the 2 screws holding the switch, unplugged the modular clip, replaced switch, resecured with screws and dropped dryer lid back in place. Interior bulb was busted up, I removed cover plate, base and broken glass, seated replacement bulb, reattached cover and turned breaker back on. Dryer switch and bulb are working again. You sent me exactly what I needed and fast. Thanks for the quick turn around!

Burnt out bulb and broken switch
Both my husband and I are not good at DIY or fixing things. I watched the instruction video that was posted on the PartSelect web site. It seems easy to do it, however still very skeptical. My husband decided that there is nothing to lose in trying, so we ordered the parts. It is as easy and simple as the video instruction. We are very happy customers.
